Generic singularities of line fields have been studied for lines of principal curvature of embedded surfaces. In this paper we propose an approach to classify generic singularities of general line fields on 2D manifolds. The idea is to identify line fields as bisectors of pairs of vector fields on the manifold, with respect to a given conformal structure. The singularities correspond to the zeros of the vector fields and the genericity is considered with respect to a natural topology in the space of pairs of vector fields. Line fields at generic singularities turn out to be topologically equivalent to the Lemon, Star and Monstar singularities that one finds at umbilical points.

A compact complex manifold $V$ is called Vaisman if it admits an Hermitian metric which is conformal to a Kahler one, and a non-isometric conformal action by $mathbb C$. It is called quasi-regular if the $mathbb C$-action has closed orbits. In this case the corresponding leaf space is a projective orbifold, called the quasi-regular quotient of $V$. It is known that the set of all quasi-regular Vaisman complex structures is dense in the appropriate deformation space. We count the number of closed elliptic curves on a Vaisman manifold, proving that their number is either infinite or equal to the sum of all Betti numbers of a Kahler orbifold obtained as a quasi-regular quotient of $V$. We also give a new proof of a result by Rukimbira showing that the number of Reeb orbits on a Sasakian manifold $M$ is either infinite or equal to the sum of all Betti numbers of a Kahler orbifold obtained as an $S^1$-quotient of $M$.

The theory of harmonic vector fields on Riemannian manifolds is generalised to pseudo-Riemannian manifolds. Harmonic conformal gradient fields on pseudo-Euclidean hyperquadrics are classified up to congruence, as are harmonic Killing fields on pseudo-Riemannian quadrics. A para-Kaehler twisted anti-isometry is used to correlate harmonic vector fields on the quadrics of neutral signature.
We study generic Riemannian submersions from nearly Kaehler manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We investigate conditions for the integrability of various distributions arising for generic Riemannian submersions and also obtain conditions for leaves to be totally geodesic foliations. We obtain conditions for a generic Riemannian submersion to be a totally geodesic map and also study generic Riemannian submersions with totally umbilical fibers. Finally, we derive conditions for generic Riemannian submersions to be harmonic map.
We characterize the exact lumpability of smooth vector fields on smooth manifolds. We derive necessary and sufficient conditions for lumpability and express them from four different perspectives, thus simplifying and generalizing various results from the literature that exist for Euclidean spaces. We introduce a partial connection on the pullback bundle that is related to the Bott connection and behaves like a Lie derivative. The lumping conditions are formulated in terms of the differential of the lumping map, its covariant derivative with respect to the connection and their respective kernels. Some examples are discussed to illustrate the theory.
In this paper, we use a Killing form on a Riemannian manifold to construct a class of Finsler metrics. We find equations that characterize Einstein metrics among this class. In particular, we construct a family of Einstein metrics on $S^3$ with ${rm Ric} = 2 F^2$, ${rm Ric}=0$ and ${rm Ric}=- 2 F^2$, respectively. This family of metrics provide an important class of Finsler metrics in dimension three, whose Ricci curvature is a constant, but the flag curvature is not.
