We study partial analyticity of solutions to elliptic systems and analyticity of level sets of solutions to nonlinear elliptic systems. We consider several applications, including analyticity of flow lines for bounded stationary solutions to the 2-d Euler equation, and analyticity of water waves with and without surface tension.

We prove explicit doubling inequalities and obtain uniform upper bounds (under $(d-1)$-dimensional Hausdorff measure) of nodal sets of weak solutions for a family of linear elliptic equations with rapidly oscillating periodic coefficients. The doubling inequalities, explicitly depending on the doubling index, are proved at different scales by a combination of convergence rates, a three-ball inequality from certain analyticity, and a monotonicity formula of a frequency function. The upper bounds of nodal sets are shown by using the doubling inequalities, approximations by harmonic functions and an iteration argument.
In this paper we are concerned with the regularity of solutions to a nonlinear elliptic system of $m$ equations in divergence form, satisfying $p$ growth from below and $q$ growth from above, with $p leq q$; this case is known as $p, q$-growth conditions. Well known counterexamples, even in the simpler case $p=q$, show that solutions to systems may be singular; so, it is necessary to add suitable structure conditions on the system that force solutions to be regular. Here we obtain local boundedness of solutions under a componentwise coercivity condition. Our result is obtained by proving that each component $u^alpha$ of the solution $u=(u^1,...,u^m)$ satisfies an improved Caccioppolis inequality and we get the boundedness of $u^{alpha}$ by applying De Giorgis iteration method, provided the two exponents $p$ and $q$ are not too far apart. Let us remark that, in dimension $n=3$ and when $p=q$, our result works for $frac{3}{2} < p < 3$, thus it complements the one of Bjorn whose technique allowed her to deal with $p leq 2$ only. In the final section, we provide applications of our result.
In this paper we prove regularity results for a class of nonlinear degenerate elliptic equations of the form $displaystyle -operatorname{div}(A(| abla u|) abla u)+Bleft( | abla u|right) =f(u)$; in particular, we investigate the second order regularity of the solutions. As a consequence of these results, we obtain symmetry and monotonicity properties of positive solutions for this class of degenerate problems in convex symmetric domains via a suitable adaption of the celebrated moving plane method of Alexandrov-Serrin.
We derive optimal-order homogenization rates for random nonlinear elliptic PDEs with monotone nonlinearity in the uniformly elliptic case. More precisely, for a random monotone operator on $mathbb{R}^d$ with stationary law (i.e. spatially homogeneous statistics) and fast decay of correlations on scales larger than the microscale $varepsilon>0$, we establish homogenization error estimates of the order $varepsilon$ in case $dgeq 3$, respectively of the order $varepsilon |log varepsilon|^{1/2}$ in case $d=2$. Previous results in nonlinear stochastic homogenization have been limited to a small algebraic rate of convergence $varepsilon^delta$. We also establish error estimates for the approximation of the homogenized operator by the method of representative volumes of the order $(L/varepsilon)^{-d/2}$ for a representative volume of size $L$. Our results also hold in the case of systems for which a (small-scale) $C^{1,alpha}$ regularity theory is available.

Under various conditions, we establish Schauder estimates for both divergence and non-divergence form second-order elliptic and parabolic equations involving Holder semi-norms not with respect to all, but only with respect to some of the independent variables. A novelty of our results is that the coefficients are allowed to be merely measurable with respect to the other independent variables.
