In an SU(N) gauge field theory, the n-point Green functions, namely, propagators and vertices, transform under the simultaneous local gauge variations of the gluon vector potential and the quark matter field in such a manner that the physical observables remain invariant. In this article, we derive this intrinsically non perturbative transformation law for the quark propagator within the system of covariant gauges. We carry out its explicit perturbative expansion till O(g_s^6) and, for some terms, till O(g_s^8). We study the implications of this transformation for the quark-anti-quark condensate, multiplicative renormalizability of the massless quark propagator, as well as its relation with the quark-gluon vertex at the one-loop order. Setting the color factors C_F=1 and C_A=0, Landau-Khalatnikov-Fradkin transformation for the abelian case of quantum electrodynamics is trivially recovered.

We report on our calculation of the interglueball potentials in SU(2), SU(3), and SU(4) lattice Yang-Mills theories using the indirect (so-called HAL QCD) method. We use the cluster decomposition error reduction technique to improve the statistical accuracy of the glueball correlators. After calculating the glueball scattering cross section in SU(2) Yang-Mills theory and combining with the observational data of the dark matter mass distributions, we derive the lower limit on the scale parameter.
Path integral contour deformations have been shown to mitigate sign and signal-to-noise problems associated with phase fluctuations in lattice field theories. We define a family of contour deformations applicable to $SU(N)$ lattice gauge theory that can reduce sign and signal-to-noise problems associated with complex actions and complex observables. For observables, these contours can be used to define deformed observables with identical expectation value but different variance. As a proof-of-principle, we apply machine learning techniques to optimize the deformed observables associated with Wilson loops in two dimensional $SU(2)$ and $SU(3)$ gauge theory. We study loops consisting of up to 64 plaquettes and achieve variance reduction of up to 4 orders of magnitude.
The quark propagator at finite temperature is investigated using quenched gauge configurations. The propagator form factors are investigated for temperatures above and below the gluon deconfinement temperature $T_c$ and for the various Matsubara frequencies. Significant differences between the functional behaviour below and above $T_c$ are observed both for the quark wave function and the running quark mass. The results for the running quark mass indicate a strong link between gluon dynamics, the mechanism for chiral symmetry breaking and the deconfinement mechanism. For temperatures above $T_c$ and for low momenta, our results support also a description of quarks as free quasi-particles.
We investigate the equal-time (static) quark propagator in Coulomb gauge within the Hamiltonian approach to QCD. We use a non-Gaussian vacuum wave functional which includes the coupling of the quarks to the spatial gluons. The expectation value of the QCD Hamiltonian is expressed by the variational kernels of the vacuum wave functional by using the canonical recursive Dyson--Schwinger equations (CRDSEs) derived previously. Assuming the Gribov formula for the gluon energy we solve the CRDSE for the quark propagator in the bare-vertex approximation together with the variational equations of the quark sector. Within our approximation the quark propagator is fairly insensitive to the coupling to the spatial gluons and its infrared behaviour is exclusively determined by the strongly infrared diverging instantaneous colour Coulomb potential.
We show a constantly accelerated quark as a string solution of the Nambu-Goto action, which is embedded in the bulk background dual to the $cal{N}$ $=2$ supersymmetric confining Yang-Mills theory. The induced metric of the world sheet for this string solution has an event horizon specified by the fifth coordinate. By an extended Rindler transformation proposed by Xiao, we move to the comoving frame of the accelerated quark-string. Then we find that this horizon is transferred to the event horizon of the bulk and the causal part of the accelerated quark is transformed to a static free-quark in the Rindler coordinate. As a result, the confinement of the Minkowski vacuum is lost in the Rindler vacuum. This point is assured also by studying the potential between the quark and anti-quark. However, the remnants of the original confining force are seen in various thermal quantities. We also discuss the consistency of our results and the claim that the Greens functions will not be changed by the Rindler transformation.
