We calculate spatial correlation functions of in-medium mesons consisting of strange--anti-strange, strange--anti-charm and charm--anti-charm quarks in (2+1)-flavor lattice QCD using the highly improved staggered quark action. A comparative study of the in-medium modifications of mesons with different flavor contents is performed. We observe significant in-medium modifications for the $phi$ and $D_s$ meson channels already at temperatures around the chiral crossover region. On the other hand, for the $J/psi$ and $eta_c$ meson channels in-medium modifications remain relatively small around the chiral crossover region and become significant only above 1.3 times the chiral crossover temperature.
In this presentation I explain our framework for dynamically generating resonances from the meson meson interaction. Our model generates many poles in the T-matrix which are associated with known states, while at the same time new states are predicted.
We investigate the in-medium masses of open charm mesons ($D$($D^0$, $D^+$), $bar{D}$($bar{D^0}$, $D^-$), $D_s$(${D_{s}}^+$, ${D_{s}}^-$)) and charmonium states ($J/psi$, $psi(3686)$, $psi(3770)$, $chi_{c0}$, $chi_{c2}$) in strongly magnetized isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter using a chiral effective model. In the presence of the magnetic field, the number density and scalar density of charged baryons have contributions from Landau energy levels. The mass modifications of open charm mesons arise due to their interactions with nucleons, hyperons, and the scalar fields (the non-strange field $sigma$, strange field $zeta$ and isovector field $delta$) in the presence of the magnetic field. The mass modifications of the charmonium states arise from the variation of dilaton field ($chi$) in the magnetized medium, which simulates the gluon condensates of QCD. The in-medium mass of open charm mesons and charmonia are observed to decrease with an increase in baryon density, whereas the charged $D^+$, $D^-$, ${D_{s}}^+$ and ${D_{s}}^-$ mesons have additional positive mass shifts due to Landau quantization in the presence of the magnetic field. The effects of strangeness fraction are found to be more dominant for the $bar{D}$ mesons as compared to the $D$ mesons. The mass shifts of charmonia are observed to be larger in hyperonic medium compared to the nuclear medium.
We study the renormalization of the properties of low lying charm and hidden charm scalar mesons in a nuclear medium, concretely of the D_{s0}(2317) and the theoretical hidden charm state X(3700). We find that for the D_{s0}(2317), with negligible width at zero density, the width becomes about 100 MeV at normal nuclear matter density, while in the case of the X(3700) the width becomes as large as 200 MeV. We discuss the origin of this new width and trace it to reactions occurring in the nucleus, while offering a guideline for future experiments testing these changes. We also show how those medium modifications will bring valuable information on the nature of the scalar resonances and the mechanisms of the interaction of D mesons with nucleons and nuclei.
We investigate mesons spectrum, decay constant and form factor in a nuclear medium through holographic two- and three-point correlation functions. To describe a nuclear medium composed of protons and neutrons, we consider a hard wall model on the thermal charged AdS geometry and show that due to the isospin interaction with a nuclear medium, there exist splittings of the mesons spectrum, decay constant and form factor relying on the isospin charge. In addition, we show that the $rho$-mesons form factor describing an interaction with pseudoscalar fluctuation decreases when the nuclear density increases, while the interaction with a longitudinal part of an axial vector meson increases.
The observation by BESIII and LHCb of states with hidden charm and open strangeness ($cbar c qbar s$) presents new opportunities for the development of a global model of heavy-quark exotics. Here we extend the dynamical diquark model to encompass such states, using the same values of Hamiltonian parameters previously obtained from the nonstrange and hidden-strange sectors. The large mass splitting between $Z_{cs}(4000)$ and $Z_{cs}(4220)$ suggests substantial SU(3)$_{rm flavor}$ mixing between all $J^P ! = ! 1^+$ states, while their average mass compared to that of other sectors offers a direct probe of flavor octet-singlet mixing among exotics. We also explore the inclusion of $eta$-like exchanges within the states, and find their effects to be quite limited. In addition, using the same diquark-mass parameters, we find $P_c(4312)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$ to fit well as corresponding nonstrange and open-strange pentaquarks.
