When one splits spacetime into space plus time, the Weyl curvature tensor (vacuum Riemann tensor) gets split into two spatial, symmetric, and trace-free (STF) tensors: (i) the Weyl tensors so-called electric part or tidal field, and (ii) the Weyl tensors so-called magnetic part or frame-drag field. Being STF, the tidal field and frame-drag field each have three orthogonal eigenvector fields which can be depicted by their integral curves. We call the integral curves of the tidal fields eigenvectors tendex lines, we call each tendex lines eigenvalue its tendicity, and we give the name tendex to a collection of tendex lines with large tendicity. The analogous quantities for the frame-drag field are vortex lines, their vorticities, and vortexes. We build up physical intuition into these concepts by applying them to a variety of weak-gravity phenomena: a spinning, gravitating point particle, two such particles side by side, a plane gravitational wave, a point particle with a dynamical current-quadrupole moment or dynamical mass-quadrupole moment, and a slow-motion binary system made of nonspinning point particles. When one splits spacetime into space plus time, the spacetime curvature (Weyl tensor) gets split into an electric part E_{jk} that describes tidal gravity and a magnetic part B_{jk} that describes differential dragging of inertial frames. We introduce tools for visualizing B_{jk} (frame-drag vortex lines, their vorticity, and vortexes) and E_{jk} (tidal tendex lines, their tendicity, and tendexes), and also visualizations of a black-hole horizons (scalar) vorticity and tendicity. We use these tools to elucidate the nonlinear dynamics of curved spacetime in merging black-hole binaries.
In this article, the generalized gravity theory with the curvature, torsion and nonmetricy was studied. For the FRW spacetime case, in particular, the Lagrangian, Hamilatonian and gravitational equations are obtained. The particular case $F(R,T)=alpha R+beta T+mu Q+ u{cal T}$ is investigated in detail. In quantum case, the corresponding Wheeler-DeWitt equation is obtained. Finally, some gravity theories with the curvature, torsion and nonmetricity are presented.

We obtain the complete theory of Newton-Cartan gravity in a curved spacetime by considering the large $c$ limit of the vielbein formulation of General Relativity. Milne boosts originate from local Lorentzian transformations, and the special cases of torsionless and twistless torsional geometries are explained in the context of the larger locally Lorentzian theory. We write the action for Newton-Cartan fields in the first order Palatini formalism, and the large $c$ limit of the Einstein equations. Finally, we obtain the generalised Eisenhart-Duval lift of the metric that plays an important role in non-relativistic holography.

Small violations of spacetime symmetries have recently been identified as promising Planck-scale signals. This talk reviews how such violations can arise in various approaches to quantum gravity, how the emergent low-energy effects can be described within the framework of relativistic effective field theories, how suitable tests can be identified, and what sensitivities can be expected in current and near-future experiments.
It was recently realized that Planck-scale momentum-space curvature, which is expected in some approaches to the quantum-gravity problem, can produce dual-curvature lensing, a feature which mainly affects the direction of observation of particles emitted by very distant sources. Several gray areas remain in our understanding of dual-curvature lensing, including the possibility that it might be just a coordinate artifact and the possibility that it might be in some sense a by product of the better studied dual-curvature redshift. We stress that data reported by the IceCube neutrino telescope should motivate a more vigorous effort of investigation of dual-curvature lensing, and we observe that studies of the recently proposed $rho$-Minkowski noncommutative spacetime could be valuable from this perspective. Through a dedicated $rho$-Minkowski analysis, we show that dual-curvature lensing is not merely a coordinate artifact and that it can be present even in theories without dual-curvature redshift.
