We report the newest results from the KLOE experiment on hadronic physics, such as the parameters of scalars f0 and a0, the eta meson mass measurements and dynamics, the first observation of the eta -> p+p-e+e- rare decay, and study of e+e- -> omega p0 cross section around the phi resonance.
The most recent results from the KLOE experiment are presented, covering: the measurement of the running fine-structure constant alpha_em,the Dalitz plot measurement of eta to pi+pi-pi0, the search of a U boson, tests of discrete symmetries and quantum coherence. The KLOE-2 Collaboration will take data until mid 2018 aiming to collect 5 inversed fb increasing the data set, in order to produce new precision measurements and continue studies of fundamental symmetries and New Physics.
The KLOE detector at the DA$Phi$NE $phi$-factory has been operating in two periods from 2001 to 2006 and from 2014 to 2018 collecting a large sample of $phi$-meson decays. This allowed to perform precision measurements and studies of fundamental symmetries, and searches of New Physics phenomena. In this overview, the results of KLOE and KLOE-2 Collaborations are presented. The most recent results from the KLOE experiment are discussed, covering: the measurement of the running fine-structure constant $alpha_{em}$, the Dalitz plot measurement of $eta rightarrow pi^+pi^-pi^0$, the search of a U boson, tests of discrete symmetries and quantum decoherence.
MINOS is an accelerator neutrino oscillation experiment at Fermilab. An intense high energy neutrino beam is produced at Fermilab and sent to a near detector on the Fermilab site and also to a 5 kTon far detector 735 km away in the Soudan mine in northern Minnesota. The experiment has now had several years of running with millions of events in the near detector and hundreds of events recorded in the far detector. I will report on the recent results from this experiment which include precise measurement of $|Delta m^2_{32}|$, ~analysis of neutral current data to limit the component of sterile neutrinos, and the search for $ u_mu to u_e$ conversion. The focus will be on the analysis of data for $ u_mu to u_e$ conversion. Using data from an exposure of $3.14times 10^{20}$ protons on target, we have selected electron type events in both the near and the far detector. The near detector is used to measure the background which is extrapolated to the far detector. We have found 35 events in the signal region with a background expectation of $27pm 5(stat)pm 2(syst)$. Using this observation we set a 90% C.L. limit of $sin^2 2 theta_{13} < 0.29$ for $delta_{cp} = 0$ and normal mass hierarchy. Further analysis is under way to reduce backgrounds and improve sensitivity.
This manuscript is a short summary of my talk given at ICNFP2014 Conference. Here we report on new results of $sin^22theta_{13}$ and $Delta m^2_text{ee}$ measurements, search for the sterile neutrino within $10^{-3} text{ eV}^2 <Delta m^2_{41}<0.1text{ eV}^2$ domain and precise measurement of the reactor absolute antineutrino flux.
We report the recent results of a search for the decay B- --> tau- anti-nu_tau, observations of new resonances X, Y and Z, and the first results from Upsilon(5S) data collected with the Belle detector at KEKB e+e- collider.
