The crystal structure and numerous normal and superconducting state properties of layered tetragonal (P4/nmm) LaFeAsO, with F-doping of 11 %, are reported. Resistivity measurements give an onset transition temperature Tc = 28.2 K, and low field magnetic susceptibility data indicate bulk superconductivity. In applied magnetic field, analysis of the resistive transition results in a critical field Hc2 = 30 T and a coherence length 35 A. An upper limit for the electron carrier concentration of 1 x 10^21 cm-3 is inferred from Hall data just above Tc. Strong electron-electron correlations are suggested from temperature-dependent resistivity, Seebeck coefficient, and thermal conductivity data. Anomalies near Tc are observed in both Seebeck coefficient and thermal conductivity data.

We report normal-state transport properties of the single-crystalline samples of the silver-lead oxide superconductor Ag5Pb2O6, including the electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance, and Hall coefficient. From the Hall coefficient measurement, we confirmed that the carrier density of this oxide is as low as 5x10^{21} cm^{-3}, one order of magnitude smaller than those for ordinary alkali metals and noble metals. The magnetoresistance behavior is well characterized by the axial symmetry of the Fermi surface and by a single relaxation time. The T^2 term of the resistivity is scaled with the specific heat coefficient, based on the recent theory for the electron-electron scattering. The present results provide evidence that Ag5Pb2O6 is a low-carrier-density three-dimensional electron-gas-like system with enhanced electron-electron scatterings.
Magnetic penetration depth, $lambda_{m}$, was measured as a function of temperature and magnetic field in single crystals of low carrier density superconductor YPtBi by using a tunnel-diode oscillator technique. Measurements in zero DC magnetic field yield London penetration depth, $lambda_{L}left(Tright)$, but in the applied field the signal includes the Campbell penetration depth, $lambda_{C}left(Tright)$, which is the characteristic length of the attenuation of small excitation field, $H_{ac}$, into the Abrikosov vortex lattice due to its elasticity. Whereas the magnetic field dependent $lambda_C$ exhibit $lambda_{C}sim B^{p}$ with $p=1/2$ in most of the conventional and unconventional superconductors, we found that $papprox 0.23ll1/2$ in YPtBi due to rapid suppression of the pinning strength. From the measured $lambda_{C}(T,H)$, the critical current density is $j_{c}approx40,mathrm{A}/mathrm{cm^{2}}$ at 75 mK. This is orders of magnitude lower than that of conventional superconductors of comparable $T_{c}$. Since the pinning centers (lattice defects) and vortex structure are not expected to be much different in YPtBi, this observation is direct evidence of the low density of the Cooper pairs because $j_{c}propto n_s$.
The pseudogap is a central puzzle of cuprate superconductors. Its connection to the Mott insulator at low doping $p$ remains ambiguous and its relation to the charge order that reconstructs the Fermi surface at intermediate $p$ is still unclear. Here we use measurements of the Hall coefficient in magnetic fields up to 88 T to show that Fermi-surface reconstruction by charge order in YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_y$ ends sharply at a critical doping $p = 0.16$, distinctly lower than the pseudogap critical point at $p^* = 0.19$. This shows that pseudogap and charge order are separate phenomena. We then find that the change of carrier density from $n = 1 + p$ in the conventional metal at high p to $n = p$ at low $p$ - a signature of the lightly doped cuprates - starts at $p^*$. This shows that pseudogap and antiferromagnetic Mott insulator are linked.
We demonstrate that the anisotropy R of the paramagnetic spin fluctuations grows toward Tc at 75As sites in the optimally electron-doped superconductor Ba[(Fe0.92Co0.08)2]2As2, with stronger spin fluctuations along the c-axis. Our finding is in remarkable contrast with the case of high T$_c$ cuprates, where R is independent of temperature above Tc.

In contrast to bulk FeSe superconductor, heavily electron-doped FeSe-derived superconductors show relatively high Tc without hole Fermi surfaces and nodal superconducting gap structure, which pose great challenges on pairing theories in the iron-based superconductors. In the heavily electron-doped FeSe-based superconductors, the dominant factors and the exact working mechanism that is responsible for the high Tc need to be clarified. In particular, a clean control of carrier concentration remains to be a challenge for revealing how superconductivity and Fermi surface topology evolves with carrier concentration in bulk FeSe. Here, we report the evolution of superconductivity in the FeSe thin flake with systematically regulated carrier concentrations by liquid-gating technique. High-temperature superconductivity at 48 K can be achieved only with electron doping tuned by gate voltage in FeSe thin flake with Tc less than 10 K. This is the first time to achieve such a high temperature superconductivity in FeSe without either epitaxial interface or external pressure. It definitely proves that the simple electron-doping process is able to induce high-temperature superconductivity with Tc as high as 48 K in bulk FeSe. Intriguingly, our data also indicates that the superconductivity is suddenly changed from low-Tc phase to high-Tc phase with a Lifshitz transition at certain carrier concentration. These results help us to build a unified picture to understand the high-temperature superconductivity among all FeSe-derived superconductors and shed light on further pursuit of higher Tc in these materials.
