We determine the quantum phase diagram of the one-dimensional Hubbard model with bond-charge interaction X in addition to the usual Coulomb repulsion U at half-filling. For large enough X and positive U the model shows three phases. For large U the system is in the spin-density wave phase already known in the usual Hubbard model. As U decreases, there is first a spin transition to a spontaneously dimerized bond-ordered wave phase and then a charge transition to a novel phase in which the dominant correlations at large distances correspond to an incommensurate singlet superconductor.

The repulsive one-dimensional Hubbard model with bond-charge interaction (HBC) in the superconducting regime is mapped onto the spin-1/2 XY model with transverse field. We calculate correlations and phase boundaries, realizing an excellent agreement with numerical results. The critical line for the superconducting transition is shown to coincide with the analytical factorization line identifying the commensurate-incommensurate transition in the XY model.
We rigorously prove that an extended Hubbard model with attraction in two dimensions has an unconventional pairing ground state for any electron filling. The anisotropic spin-0 or anisotropic spin-1 pairing symmetry is realized, depending on a phase parameter characterizing the type of local attractive interactions. In both cases the ground state is unique. It is also shown that in a special case, where there are no electron hopping terms, the ground state has Ising-type Neel order at half-filling, when on-site repulsion is furthermore added. Physical applications are mentioned.
We consider the repulsive Hubbard model in one dimension and show the different mechanisms present in the charge and spin separation phenomena for an electron, at half filling and bellow half filling. We also comment recent experimental results.

We investigate a two-orbital model for iron-based superconductors to elucidate the effect of interplay between electron correlation and Jahn-Teller electron-phonon coupling by using the dynamical mean-field theory combined with the exact diagonalization method. When the intra- and inter-orbital Coulomb interactions, $U$ and $U$, increase with $U=U$, both the local spin and orbital susceptibilities, $chi_{s}$ and $chi_{o}$, increase with $chi_{s}=chi_{o}$ in the absence of the Hunds rule coupling $J$ and the electron-phonon coupling $g$. In the presence of $J$ and $g$, there are distinct two regimes: for $J stackrel{>}{_sim} 2g^2/omega_0$ with the phonon frequency $omega_0$, $chi_{s}$ is enhanced relative to $chi_{o}$ and shows a divergence at $J=J_c$ above which the system becomes Mott insulator, while for $J stackrel{<}{_sim} 2g^2/omega_0$, $chi_{o}$ is enhanced relative to $chi_{s}$ and shows a divergence at $g=g_c$ above which the system becomes bipolaronic insulator. In the former regime, the superconductivity is mediated by antiferromagnetic fluctuations enhanced due to Fermi-surface nesting and is found to be largely dependent on carrier doping. On the other hand, in the latter regime, the superconductivity is mediated by ferro-orbital fluctuations and is observed for wide doping region including heavily doped case without the Fermi-surface nesting.
A unique property of a dynamically generated quantum spin Hall state are Goldstone modes that correspond to the long-wavelength fluctuations of the spin-orbit coupling order parameter whose topological Skyrmion excitations carry charge 2$e$. Within the model considered here, upon varying the chemical potential, we observe two transitions: An s-wave superconducting order parameter develops at a critical chemical potential $mu_{c1}$, corresponding to the excitation gap of pairs of fermions, and at $mu_{c2}$ the SO(3) order parameter of the quantum spin Hall state vanishes. Using negative-sign-free, large-scale quantum Monte Carlo simulations, we show that $mu_{c1}=mu_{c2}$ within our accuracy -- we can resolve dopings away from half filling down to $delta = 0.0017$. The length scale associated with the fluctuations of the quantum spin Hall order parameter grows down to our lowest doping, suggesting either a continuous or a weakly first-order transition. Contrary to mean-field expectations, the doping versus chemical potential curve is not linear, indicating a dynamical critical exponent $z > 2$ if the transition is continuous.
