Porcelain is used in thin thicknesses to fabricate ceramic
veneers. The low fusing feldspathic porcelain used to fabricate porcelain
veneers is easily fractured, brittle porcelain before cementation to tooth
structure. However, its fracture resist
ance improves significantly after
etching with hydrochloric acid, applying the silane and luting to tooth
structure with resin cement.
Aim of the study: to evaluate the appropriate thickness of laminates made
from feldspathic porcelain and its relation to flexural strength.
