نفذ البحث في محطة بحوث المختارية التابعة لمركز بحوث حمص خلال موسم 2016. اختبرت كفاءة بعض المستخلصات النباتية (الأزدرخت Melia azedarach L, الفلفل المستحي Schinus molle L, الأصطرك Styrax officinalis L, الأوكاليبتوس Eucalyptus camaldulensis De, الدفلة Nerium oleander F) في مكافحة حشرة نمر الإجاص (Stephanitis pyri (F.) (Tingidae Heteroptera مقارنةً مع المبيدات التقليدية سايبرمثرين و كلوربيرفوس ايتيل).
