Precision on primordial abundances, deduced from observations, have now reached the percent level for 4He and deuterium. Precision on big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) predictions should, hence, reach the same level. The uncertainty on the 4He mass fraction is strongly affected by theoretical uncertainties on the weak reaction rates that interconvert neutrons with protons. All these corrections have been calculated in a self-consistent manner and implemented in a new, and public, Mathematica code PRIMAT, together with an extensive data base of reaction rates. Both can be obtained at http://www2.iap.fr/users/pitrou/primat.htm.
Primordial nucleosynthesis is one of the three historical evidences for the big bang model, together with the expansion of the universe and the cosmic microwave background. Now that the number of neutrino families and the baryonic densities have been
We reexamine big bang nucleosynthesis with large-scale baryon density inhomogeneities when the length scale of the density fluctuations exceeds the neutron diffusion length ($sim 10^7-10^8$ cm at BBN), and the amplitude of the fluctuations is suffici
Primordial or Big Bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) is one of the three historical strong evidences for the Big-Bang model together with the expansion of the Universe and the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation (CMB). The recent results by the Planck miss
We perform calculations of dark photon production and decay in the early universe for ranges of dark photon masses and vacuum coupling with standard model photons. Simultaneously and self-consistently with dark photon production and decay, our calcul
Short-baseline neutrino anomalies suggest the existence of low-mass ( m sim O(1)~eV) sterile neutrinos u_s. These would be efficiently produced in the early universe by oscillations with active neutrino species, leading to a thermal population of th
