We study global aspects of the mean curvature flow of non-separating hypersurfaces $S$ in closed manifolds. For instance, if $S$ has non-vanishing mean curvature, we show its level set flow converges smoothly towards an embedded minimal hypersurface $Gamma$. We prove a similar result for the flow with surgery in dimension 2. As an application we show the existence of monotone incompressible isotopies in manifolds with negative curvature. Combining this result with min-max theory, we show that quasi-Fuchsian and hyperbolic $3$-manifolds fibered over $mathrm{S}^1$ admit smooth entire foliations whose leaves are either minimal or have non-vanishing mean curvature. We also conclude the existence of outermost minimal surfaces for quasi-Fuchsian ends and study their continuity with respect to variations of the quasi-Fuchsian metric.

In this paper, we study polar foliations on simply connected symmetric spaces with non-negative curvature. We will prove that all such foliations are isoparametric as defined by Heintze, Liu and Olmos. We will also prove a splitting theorem which red uces the study of such foliations to polar foliations in compact simply connected symmetric spaces. Moreover, we will show that solutions to mean curvature flow of regular leaves in such foliations are always ancient solutions. This generalizes part of the results of Liu and Terng for the mean curvature flow of isoparametric submanifolds in spheres.

In case of the heat flow on the free loop space of a closed Riemannian manifold non-triviality of Morse homology for semi-flows is established by constructing a natural isomorphism to singular homology of the loop space. The construction is also new in finite dimensions. The main idea is to build a Morse filtration using Conley pairs and their pre-images under the time-$T$-map of the heat flow. A crucial step is to contract each Conley pair onto its part in the unstable manifold. To achieve this we construct stable foliations for Conley pairs using the recently found backward $lambda$-Lemma [31]. These foliations are of independent interest [23].
We reinterpret the renormalized volume as the asymptotic difference of the isoperimetric profiles for convex co-compact hyperbolic 3-manifolds. By similar techniques we also prove a sharp Minkowski inequality for horospherically convex sets in $mathb b{H}^3$. Finally, we include the classification of stable constant mean curvature surfaces in regions bounded by two geodesic planes in $mathbb{H}^3$ or in cyclic quotients of $mathbb{H}^3$.
The asymptotic Plateau problem asks for the existence of smooth complete hypersurfaces of constant mean curvature with prescribed asymptotic boundary at infinity in the hyperbolic space $mathbb{H}^{n+1}$. The modified mean curvature flow (MMCF) was f irstly introduced by Xiao and the second author a few years back, and it provides a tool using geometric flow to find such hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature in $mathbb{H}^{n+1}$. Similar to the usual mean curvature flow, the MMCF is the natural negative $L^2$-gradient flow of the area-volume functional $mathcal{I}(Sigma)=A(Sigma)+sigma V(Sigma)$ associated to a hypersurface $Sigma$. In this paper, we prove that the MMCF starting from an entire locally Lipschitz continuous radial graph exists and stays radially graphic for all time. In general one cannot expect the convergence of the flow as it can be seen from the flow starting from a horosphere (whose asymptotic boundary is degenerate to a point).
We define Seiberg-Witten equations on closed manifolds endowed with a Riemannian foliation of codimension 4. When the foliation is taut, we show compactness of the moduli space under some hypothesis satisfied for instance by closed K-contact manifold s. Furthermore, we prove some vanishing and non-vanishing results and we highlight that the invariants may be used to distinguish different foliations on diffeomorphic manifolds.
