The aim of this paper is to analyze a model for chemotaxis based on a local sensing mechanism instead of the gradient sensing mechanism used in the celebrated minimal Keller-Segel model. The model we study has the same entropy as the minimal Keller-Segel model, but a different dynamics to minimize this entropy. Consequently, the conditions on the mass for the existence of stationary solutions or blow-up are the same, however we make the interesting observation that with the local sensing mechanism the blow-up in the case of supercritical mass is delayed to infinite time. Our observation is made rigorous from a mathematical point via a proof of global existence of weak solutions for arbitrary large masses and space dimension. The key difference of our model to the minimal Keller-Segel model is that the structure of the equation allows for a duality estimate that implies a bound on the $(H^1)$-norm of the solutions, which can only grow with a square-root law in time. This additional $(H^1)$-bound implies a lower bound on the entropy, which contrasts markedly with the minimal Keller-Segel model for which it is unbounded from below in the supercritical case. Besides, regularity and uniqueness of solutions are also studied.

We prove that any sufficiently differentiable space-like hypersurface of ${mathbb R}^{1+N} $ coincides locally around any of its points with the blow-up surface of a finite-energy solution of the focusing nonlinear wave equation $partial_{tt} u - Del ta u=|u|^{p-1} u$ on ${mathbb R} times {mathbb R} ^N$, for any $1leq Nleq 4$ and $1 < p le frac {N+2} {N-2}$. We follow the strategy developed in our previous work [arXiv 1812.03949] on the construction of solutions of the nonlinear wave equation blowing up at any prescribed compact set. Here to prove blowup on a local space-like hypersurface, we first apply a change of variable to reduce the problem to blowup on a small ball at $t=0$ for a transformed equation. The construction of an appropriate approximate solution is then combined with an energy method for the existence of a solution of the transformed problem that blows up at $t=0$. To obtain a finite-energy solution of the original problem from trace arguments, we need to work with $H^2times H^1$ solutions for the transformed problem.
For some deterministic nonlinear PDEs on the torus whose solutions may blow up in finite time, we show that, under suitable conditions on the nonlinear term, the blow-up is delayed by multiplicative noise of transport type in a certain scaling limit. The main result is applied to the 3D Keller-Segel, 3D Fisher-KPP and 2D Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equations, yielding long-time existence for large initial data with high probability.
This work considers a chemotaxis system for multi-species that includes birth or death rate terms, which implies no mass preservation of the populations. We aim to show the convergence to a $L^{infty} - $weak solutions, that is local in time, of the JKO - scheme arising from the Optimal Transport Theory, in the spirit of [35,14]. Currently, $L^{infty}$ solutions have shown to be important in order to get uniqueness. Since death rate case does not ensure global solutions, for arbitrary initial data, in this framework, it could be interest to analyze the Blowing-up phenomenon of this system. Therefore, in the last section, we get sufficient conditions that implies blowing-up phenomenon in finite time and we draw several stages where this occurs. This last part can be seen as a partial generalization of the blowing-up results in [16].
We study the Cauchy problem for the half Ginzburg-Landau-Kuramoto (hGLK) equation with the second order elliptic operator having rough coefficients and potential type perturbation. The blow-up of solutions for hGLK equation with non-positive nonlinea rity is shown by an ODE argument. The key tools in the proof are appropriate commutator estimates and the essential self-adjointness of the symmetric uniformly elliptic operator with rough metric and potential type perturbation.

Consider the energy critical focusing wave equation on the Euclidian space. A blow-up type II solution of this equation is a solution which has finite time of existence but stays bounded in the energy space. The aim of this work is to exhibit univers al properties of such solutions. Let W be the unique radial positive stationary solution of the equation. Our main result is that in dimension 3, under an appropriate smallness assumption, any type II blow-up radial solution is essentially the sum of a rescaled W concentrating at the origin and a small remainder which is continuous with respect to the time variable in the energy space. This is coherent with the solutions constructed by Krieger, Schlag and Tataru. One ingredient of our proof is that the unique radial solution which is compact up to scaling is equal to W up to symmetries.
