We prove existence of wide types in a continuous theory expanding a Banach space, and density of minimal wide types among stable types in such a theory. We show that every minimal wide stable type is generically isometric to an l_2 space. We conclude with a proof of the following formulation of Hensons Conjecture: every model of an uncountably categorical theory expanding a Banach space is prime over a spreading model, isometric to the standard basis of a Hilbert space.

We develop the theory of generically stable types, independence relation based on nonforking and stable weight in the context of dependent (NIP) theories.
A Polish space is not always homeomorphic to a computably presented Polish space. In this article, we examine degrees of non-computability of presenting homeomorphic copies of Polish spaces. We show that there exists a $0$-computable low$_3$ Polish s pace which is not homeomorphic to a computable one, and that, for any natural number $n$, there exists a Polish space $X_n$ such that exactly the high$_{2n+3}$-degrees are required to present the homeomorphism type of $X_n$. We also show that no compact Polish space has an easiest presentation with respect to Turing reducibility.
We propose and analyse a minimal-residual method in discrete dual norms for approximating the solution of the advection-reaction equation in a weak Banach-space setting. The weak formulation allows for the direct approximation of solutions in the Leb esgue $L^p$-space, $1<p<infty$. The greater generality of this weak setting is natural when dealing with rough data and highly irregular solutions, and when enhanced qualitative features of the approximations are needed. We first present a rigorous analysis of the well-posedness of the underlying continuous weak formulation, under natural assumptions on the advection-reaction coefficients. The main contribution is the study of several discrete subspace pairs guaranteeing the discrete stability of the method and quasi-optimality in $L^p$, and providing numerical illustrations of these findings, including the elimination of Gibbs phenomena, computation of optimal test spaces, and application to 2-D advection.

We study the stability of John domains in Banach spaces under removal of a countable set of points. In particular, we prove that the class of John domains is stable in the sense that removing a certain type of closed countable set from the domain yie lds a new domain which also is a John domain. We apply this result to prove the stability of the inner uniform domains. Finally, we consider a wider class of domains, so called $psi$-John domains and prove a similar result for this class.
In this paper we develop a stochastic integration theory for processes with values in a quasi-Banach space. The integrator is a cylindrical Brownian motion. The main results give sufficient conditions for stochastic integrability. They are natural ex tensions of known results in the Banach space setting. We apply our main results to the stochastic heat equation where the forcing terms are assumed to have Besov regularity in the space variable with integrability exponent $pin (0,1]$. The latter is natural to consider for its potential application to adaptive wavelet methods for stochastic partial differential equations.
