A rigorous textit{ab initio} derivation of the (square of) Diracs equation for a single particle with spin is presented. The general Hamilton-Jacobi equation for the particle expressed in terms of a background Weyls conformal geometry is found to be linearized, exactly and in closed form, by an textit{ansatz} solution that can be straightforwardly interpreted as the quantum wave function $psi_4$ of the 4-spinor Diracs equation. In particular, all quantum features of the model arise from a subtle interplay between the conformal curvature of the configuration space acting as a potential and Weyls pre-potential, closely related to $psi_4$, which acts on the particle trajectory. The theory, carried out here by assuming a Minkowsky metric, can be easily extended to arbitrary space-time Riemann metric, e.g. the one adopted in the context of General Relativity. This novel theoretical scenario, referred to as Affine Quantum Mechanics, appears to be of general application and is expected to open a promising perspective in the modern endeavor aimed at the unification of the natural forces with gravitation.

The logical inference approach to quantum theory, proposed earlier [Ann. Phys. 347 (2014) 45-73], is considered in a relativistic setting. It is shown that the Klein-Gordon equation for a massive, charged, and spinless particle derives from the combi nation of the requirements that the space-time data collected by probing the particle is obtained from the most robust experiment and that on average, the classical relativistic equation of motion of a particle holds.

Time-dependent $mathcal{PT}$-symmetric quantum mechanics is featured by a varying inner-product metric and has stimulated a number of interesting studies beyond conventional quantum mechanics. In this paper, we explore geometric aspects of time-depen dent $mathcal{PT}$-symmetric quantum mechanics. We not only find a geometric phase factor emerging naturally from cyclic evolutions of $mathcal{PT}$-symmetric systems, but also formulate a series of differential geometry concepts, including connection, curvature, parallel transport, metric tensor, and quantum geometric tensor. Our findings constitute a useful, perhaps indispensible, tool to tackle physical problems involving $mathcal{PT}$-symmetric systems with time-varying systems parameters. To exemplify the application of our findings, we show that the unconventional geometrical phase [Phys. Rev. Lett. 91, 187902 (2003)], consisting of a geometric phase and a dynamical phase proportional to the geometric phase, can be expressed as a single geometric phase identified in this work.
We show how the Dirac equation in three space-dimensions emerges from the large-scale dynamics of the minimal nontrivial quantum cellular automaton satisfying unitariety, locality, homogeneity, and discrete isotropy, without using the relativity prin ciple. The Dirac equation is recovered for small wave-vector and inertial mass, whereas Lorentz covariance is distorted in the ultra-relativistic limit. The automaton can thus be regarded as a theory unifying scales from Planck to Fermi. A simple asymptotic approach leads to a dispersive Schroedinger equation describing the evolution of narrow-band states at all scales.
The principles and methods of the Conformal Quantum Geometrodynamics (CQG) based on the Weyls differential geometry are presented. The theory applied to the case of the relativistic single quantum spin 1/2 leads a novel and unconventional derivation of Diracs equation. The further extension of the theory to the case of two spins 1/2 in EPR entangled state and to the related violation of Bells inequalities leads, by an exact albeit non relativistic analysis, to an insightful resolution of all paradoxes implied by quantum nonlocality.
Systematic understanding for classes of inflationary models is investigated from the viewpoint of the local conformal symmetry and the slightly broken global symmetry in the framework of the metric-affine geometry. In the metric-affine geometry, whic h is a generalisation of the Riemannian one adopted in the ordinary General Relativity, the affine connection is an independent variable of the metric rather than given e.g. by the Levi-Civita connection as its function. Thanks to this independency, the metric-affine geometry can preserve the local conformal symmetry in each term of the Lagrangian contrary to the Riemannian geometry, and then the local conformal invariance can be compatible with much more kinds of global symmetries. As simple examples, we consider the two-scalar models with the broken $mathrm{SO}(1,1)$ or $mathrm{O}(2)$, leading to the well-known $alpha$-attractor or natural inflation, respectively. The inflaton can be understood as their pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson.
