Through Monte Carlo simulations we study two-dimensional Potts models with $q=4, 6$ and 8 states on Voronoi-Delaunay random lattice. In this study, we assume that the coupling factor $J$ varies with the distance $r$ between the first neighbors as $J(r)propto e^{-a r}$, with $a geq 0$ . The disordered system is simulated applying the singler-cluster Monte Carlo update algorithm and reweigting technique. In this model both second-order and first-order phase transition are present depending of $q$ values and $a$ parameter. The critical exponents ratio $beta/ u$, $gamma/ u$, and $1/ u$ were calculated for case where the second-order phase transition are present. In the Potts model with $q=8$ we also studied the distribution of clusters sizes.

We investigate the critical properties of the Ising model in two dimensions on {it directed} small-world lattice with quenched connectivity disorder. The disordered system is simulated by applying the Monte Carlo update heat bath algorithm. We calcul ate the critical temperature, as well as the critical exponents $gamma/ u$, $beta/ u$, and $1/ u$ for several values of the rewiring probability $p$. We find that this disorder system does not belong to the same universality class as the regular two-dimensional ferromagnetic model. The Ising model on {it directed} small-world lattices presents in fact a second-order phase transition with new critical exponents which do not dependent of $p$, but are identical to the exponents of the Ising model and the spin-1 Blume-Capel model on {it directed} small-world network.
We solve the q-state Potts model with anti-ferromagnetic interactions on large random lattices of finite coordination. Due to the frustration induced by the large loops and to the local tree-like structure of the lattice this model behaves as a mean field spin glass. We use the cavity method to compute the temperature-coordination phase diagram and to determine the location of the dynamic and static glass transitions, and of the Gardner instability. We show that for q>=4 the model possesses a phenomenology similar to the one observed in structural glasses. We also illustrate the links between the positive and the zero-temperature cavity approaches, and discuss the consequences for the coloring of random graphs. In particular we argue that in the colorable region the one-step replica symmetry breaking solution is stable towards more steps of replica symmetry breaking.

The critical properties of the spin-1 two-dimensional Blume-Capel model on directed and undi- rected random lattices with quenched connectivity disorder is studied through Monte Carlo simulations. The critical temperature, as well as the critical poi nt exponents are obtained. For the undi- rected case this random system belongs to the same universality class as the regular two-dimensional model. However, for the directed random lattice one has a second-order phase transition for q < qc and a first-order phase transition for q > qc, where qc is the critical rewiring probability. The critical exponents for q < qc was calculated and they do not belong to the same universality class as the regular two-dimensional ferromagnetic model.
Monte Carlo simulations are performed to study the two-dimensional Potts models with q=3 and 4 states on directed Small-World network. The disordered system is simulated applying the Heat bath Monte Carlo update algorithm. A first-order and second-or der phase transition is found for q=3 depending on the rewiring probability $p$, but for q=4 the system presents only a first-order phase transition for any value $p$ . This critical behavior is different from the Potts model on a square lattice, where the second-order phase transition is present for $qle4$ and a first-order phase transition is present for q>4.
It is known that a trained Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM) on the binary Monte Carlo Ising spin configurations, generates a series of iterative reconstructed spin configurations which spontaneously flow and stabilize to the critical point of physi cal system. Here we construct a variety of Neural Network (NN) flows using the RBM and (variational) autoencoders, to study the q-state Potts and clock models on the square lattice for q = 2, 3, 4. The NN are trained on Monte Carlo spin configurations at various temperatures. We find that the trained NN flow does develop a stable point that coincides with critical point of the q-state spin models. The behavior of the NN flow is nontrivial and generative, since the training is unsupervised and without any prior knowledge about the critical point and the Hamiltonian of the underlying spin model. Moreover, we find that the convergence of the flow is independent of the types of NNs and spin models, hinting a universal behavior. Our results strengthen the potential applicability of the notion of the NN flow in studying various states of matter and offer additional evidence on the connection with the Renormalization Group flow.
