We use the Constitution supernova, the baryon acoustic oscillation, the cosmic microwave background, and the Hubble parameter data to analyze the evolution property of dark energy. We obtain different results when we fit different baryon acoustic oscillation data combined with the Constitution supernova data to the Chevallier-Polarski-Linder model. We find that the difference stems from the different values of $Omega_{m0}$. We also fit the observational data to the model independent piecewise constant parametrization. Four redshift bins with boundaries at $z=0.22$, 0.53, 0.85 and 1.8 were chosen for the piecewise constant parametrization of the equation of state parameter $w(z)$ of dark energy. We find no significant evidence for evolving $w(z)$. With the addition of the Hubble parameter, the constraint on the equation of state parameter at high redshift isimproved by 70%. The marginalization of the nuisance parameter connected to the supernova distance modulus is discussed.

A novel fractal structure for the cosmological horizon, inspired by COVID-19 geometry, which results in a modified area entropy, is applied to cosmology in order to serve dark energy. The constraints based on a complete set of observational data are derived. There is a strong Bayesian evidence in favor of such a dark energy in comparison to a standard $Lambda$CDM model and that this energy cannot be reduced to a cosmological constant. Besides, there is a shift towards smaller values of baryon density parameter and towards larger values of the Hubble parameter, which reduces the Hubble tension.
We investigate dynamical behavior of the equation of state of dark energy $w_{de}$ by employing the linear-spline method in the region of low redshifts from observational data (SnIa, BAO, CMB and 12 $H(z)$ data). The redshift is binned and $w_{de}$ i s approximated by a linear expansion of redshift in each bin. We leave the divided points of redshift bins as free parameters of the model, the best-fitted values of divided points will represent the turning positions of $w_{de}$ where $w_{de}$ changes its evolving direction significantly (if there exist such turnings in our considered region). These turning points are natural divided points of redshift bins, and $w_{de}$ between two nearby divided points can be well approximated by a linear expansion of redshift. We find two turning points of $w_{de}$ in $zin(0,1.8)$ and one turning point in $zin (0,0.9)$, and $w_{de}(z)$ could be oscillating around $w=-1$. Moreover, we find that there is a $2sigma$ deviation of $w_{de}$ from -1 around $z=0.9$ in both correlated and uncorrelated estimates.

In the present paper, we investigate three scalar fields, qu field, phantom field and tachyon field, to explore the source of dark energy, using the Gaussian processes method from the background data and perturbation growth rate data. The correspondi ng reconstructions all suggest that the dark energy should be dynamical. Moreover, the quintom field, a combination between qu field and phantom field, is powerfully favored by the data within 68% confidence level. Using the mean values of scalar field $phi$ and potential $V$, we fit the function $V(phi)$ in different fields. The fitted results imply that potential $V(phi)$ in each scalar field may be a double exponential function or Gaussian function. The Gaussian processes reconstructions also indicate that the tachyon scalar field cannot be convincingly favored by the data and is at a disadvantage to describe the dark energy.
We constrain spatially-flat tilted and nonflat untilted scalar field ($phi$) dynamical dark energy inflation ($phi$CDM) models by using Planck 2015 cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy measurements and recent baryonic acoustic oscillation dis tance observations, Type Ia supernovae apparent magnitude data, Hubble parameter measurements, and growth rate data. We assume an inverse power-law scalar field potential energy density $V(phi)=V_0 phi^{-alpha}$. We find that the combination of the CMB data with the four non-CMB data sets significantly improves parameter constraints and strengthens the evidence for nonflatness in the nonflat untilted $phi$CDM case from $1.8sigma$ for the CMB measurements only to more than $3.1sigma$ for the combined data. In the nonflat untilted $phi$CDM model current observations favor a spatially closed universe with spatial curvature contributing about two-thirds of a percent of the present cosmological energy budget. The flat tilted $phi$CDM model is a 0.4$sigma$ better fit to the data than is the standard flat tilted $Lambda$CDM model: current data allow for the possibility that dark energy is dynamical. The nonflat tilted $phi$CDM model is in better accord with the Dark Energy Survey bounds on the rms amplitude of mass fluctuations now ($sigma_8$) as a function of the nonrelativistic matter density parameter now ($Omega_m$) but it does not provide as good a fit to the larger-multipole Planck 2015 CMB anisotropy data as does the standard flat tilted $Lambda$CDM model. A few cosmological parameter value measurements differ significantly when determined using the tilted flat and the untilted nonflat $phi$CDM models, including the cold dark matter density parameter and the reionization optical depth.
We examine different phenomenological interaction models for Dark Energy and Dark Matter by performing statistical joint analysis with observational data arising from the 182 Gold type Ia supernova samples, the shift parameter of the Cosmic Microwave Background given by the three-year Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe observations, the baryon acoustic oscillation measurement from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and age estimates of 35 galaxies. Including the time-dependent observable, we add sensitivity of measurement and give complementary results for the fitting. The compatibility among three different data sets seem to imply that the coupling between dark energy and dark matter is a small positive value, which satisfies the requirement to solve the coincidence problem and the second law of thermodynamics, being compatible with previous estimates.
