Recent neutrino oscillation experiments used high atomic number nuclear targets to attain sufficient interaction rates. The use of these complex targets introduced systematic uncertainties due to the nuclear effects in the experimental observable and need to be measured properly to pin down the discovery. Through this simulation work, we are trying to quantify the nuclear effects in the Ar target with the H target which are proposed to be used at DUNE far detector and near detector respectively. The DUNE flux is peaking around 2.5 GeV and CCRES is the dominant process at this energy. So, this work will be focused only on the CCQE and CCRES interactions and the simulations will be done using two different neutrino event generators. To quantify the systematic uncertainties in the observables, we presented the ratio of the oscillation probability (P(Ar)/P(H)) as a function of reconstructed neutrino energy for CCRES channels.

We apply a method proposed by members of CTEQ Collaboration to estimate the uncertainty in associated $W$-Higgs boson production at Run II of the Tevatron due to our imprecise knowledge of parton distribution functions. We find that the PDF uncertainties for the signal and background rates are of the order 3%. The PDF uncertainties for the important statistical quantities (significance of the Higgs boson discovery, accuracy of the measurement of the (WH) cross section) are smaller (1.5%) due to the strong correlation of the signal and background.
A procedure is proposed which accounts for final state interaction corrections for near threshold meson production in nucleon-nucleon scattering. In analogy with the Watson-Migdal approximation, it is shown that in the limit of extremely strong final state effects, the amplitude factorizes into a primary production amplitude and an elastic scattering amplitude describing a $3 to 3$ transition. This amplitude determines the energy dependence of the reaction cross section near the reaction threshold almost solely. The approximation proposed satisfies the Fermi-Watson theorem and the coherence formalism. Application of this procedure to meson production in nucleon-nucleon scattering shows that, while corrections due to the meson-nucleon interaction are small for s-wave pion production, they are crucial for reproducing the energy dependence of the $eta$ production cross section.
Precise and adequate knowledge of neutrino scattering cross-sections and nuclear effects in them is very important to reduce the systematic uncertainties in neutrino beam oscillation experiments. The insufficiency in our present understanding of these effects inflicts the precision measurements of yet unknown neutrino oscillation parameters and some other experimentally observed anomalies in the neutrino sector. Another source of uncertainty is the energy dependence of neutrino oscillation probability which is a nontrivial function of the true incoming neutrino energy. This energy is reconstructed using different methods, which in turn is used in the analysis leading to the extraction of various neutrino oscillation parameters. The extraction of still unknown parameters like the leptonic CP violation phase demands the precision level in these measurements to be very high. In this work, we use the kinematic method of reconstruction of the incoming neutrino energy, both at the near and far detectors of NO$ u$A (USA) experiment, and investigate the role of multinucleon (MN) effects on the sensitivity measurement of various neutrino oscillation parameters. We use the values of various light neutrino oscillation parameters from their latest global fit values in our analysis.

We present an algorithm for unweighted event generation in the partonic process pp -> WZ (j) with leptonic decays at next-to-leading order in alpha_S. Monte Carlo programs for processes such as this frequently generate events with negative weights in certain regions of phase space. For simulations of experimental data one would like to have unweighted events only. We demonstrate how the phase space from the matrix elements can be combined to achieve unweighted event generation using a second stage Monte Carlo integration over a volume of real emissions (jets). Observable quantities are kept fixed in the laboratory frame throughout the integration. The algorithm is applicable to a broader class of processes and is CPU intensive.

I describe a subtraction scheme for the next-to-next-to-leading order calculation of single inclusive production at hadron colliders. Such processes include Drell-Yan, W^{+/-}, Z and Higgs Boson production. The key to such a calculation is a treatment of initial state radiation which preserves the production characteristics, such as the rapidity distribution, of the process involved. The method builds upon the Dipole Formalism and, with proper modifications, could be applied to deep inelastic scattering and e^+ e^- annihilation to hadrons.
