We derive analytic necessary and sufficient conditions for the vacuum stability of the left-right symmetric model by using the concepts of copositivity and gauge orbit spaces. We also derive the conditions sufficient for successful symmetry breaking and the existence of a correct vacuum. We then compare results obtained from the derived conditions with those from numerical minimization of the scalar potential. Finally, we discuss the renormalization group analysis of the scalar quartic couplings through an example study that satisfies vacuum stability, perturbativity, unitarity and experimental bounds on the physical scalar masses.

We develop a minimal left-right symmetric model based on the gauge group $SU(3)_C otimes SU(2)_L otimes SU(2)_R otimes U(1)_{B-L}$ wherein the Higgs triplets conventionally employed for symmetry breaking are replaced by Higgs doublets. Majorana masses for the right-handed neutrinos $( u_R$) are induced via two-loop diagrams involving a charged scalar field $eta^+$. This setup is shown to provide excellent fits to neutrino oscillation data via the seesaw mechanism for the entire range of the $W_R^pm$ mass, from TeV to the GUT scale. When the $W_R^pm$ mass is at the TeV scale, the $ u_R$ masses turn out to be in the MeV range. We analyze constraints from low energy experiments, early universe cosmology and from supernova 1987a on such a scenario and show its consistency. We also study collider implications of a relatively light $eta^+$ scalar through its decay into multi-lepton final states and derive a lower limit of 390 GeV on its mass from the LHC, which can be improved to 555 GeV in its high luminosity run.
In this work, we studied baryogenesis via leptogenesis, neutrinoless double beta decay (NDBD) in the framework of LRSM where type I and type II seesaw terms arises naturally. The type I seesaw mass term is considered to be favouring $mu-tau$ symmetry, taking into account the widely studied realizations of $mu-tau$ symmetric neutrino mass models, viz. Tribimaximal Mixing (TBM), Hexagonal Mixing (HM) and Golden Ratio Mixing (GRM) respectively. The required correction to generate a non vanishing reactor mixing angle $theta_{13}$ is obtained from the perturbation matrix, type II seesaw mass term in our case. We studied the new physics contributions to NDBD and baryogenesis ignoring the left-right gauge boson mixing and the heavy-light neutrino mixing, keeping mass of the gauge bosons and scalars to be around TeV and studied the effects of the new physics contributions on the effective mass, NDBD half life and cosmological BAU and compared with the values imposed by experiments. We basically tried to find the leading order contributions to NDBD and BAU, coming from type I or type II seesaw in our work.
We present a minimal left-right symmetric flavor model and analyze the predictions for the neutrino sector. In this scenario, the Yukawa sector is shaped by the dihedral $D_4$ symmetry which leads to correlations for the neutrino mixing parameters. We end up with four possible solutions within this model. We further analyzed the impact of the upcoming long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment DUNE. Due to its high sensitivity, DUNE will be able to rule out two of the solutions. Finally, the prediction for the neutrinoless double beta decay for the model has also been examined.
We present an implementation of the manifest left-right symmetric model in FeynRules. The different aspects of the model are briefly described alongside the corresponding elements of the model file. The model file is validated and can be easily translated to matrix element generators such as MadGraph5_aMC@NLO, CalcHEP, Sherpa, etc. The implementation of the left-right symmetric model is a useful step for studying new physics signals with the data generated at the LHC.
In the framework of Left-Right symmetric model, we investigate an interesting scenario, in which the so-called VEV seesaw problem can be naturally solved with Z_2 symmetry. In such a scenario, we find a pair of stable weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs), which may be the cold dark matter candidates. However, the WIMP-nucleon cross section is 3-5 orders of magnitude above the present upper bounds from the direct dark matter detection experiments for $m sim 10^2-10^4 $ GeV. As a result, the relic number density of two stable particles has to be strongly suppressed to a very small level. Nevertheless, our analysis shows that this scenario cant provide very large annihilation cross sections so as to give the desired relic abundance except for the resonance case. Only for the case if the rotation curves of disk galaxies are explained by the Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND), the stable WIMPs could be as the candidates of cold dark matter.
