We study triples of coisotropic or isotropic subspaces in symplectic vector spaces; in particular, we classify indecomposable structures of this kind. The classification depends on the ground field, which we only assume to be perfect and not of characteristic 2. Our work uses the theory of representations of partially ordered sets with (order reversing) involution; for (co)isotropic triples, the relevant poset is $2 + 2 + 2$ consisting of three independent ordered pairs, with the involution exchanging the members of each pair. A key feature of the classification is that any indecomposable (co)isotropic triple is either split or non-split. The latter is the case when the poset representation underlying an indecomposable (co)isotropic triple is itself indecomposable. Otherwise, in the split case, the underlying representation is decomposable and necessarily the direct sum of a dual pair of indecomposable poset representations; the (co)isotropic triple is a symplectification. In the course of the paper we develop the framework of symplectic poset representations, which can be applied to a range of problems of symplectic linear algebra. The classification of linear Hamiltonian vector fields, up to conjugation, is an example; we briefly explain the connection between these and (co)isotropic triples. The framework lends itself equally well to studying poset representations on spaces carrying a non-degenerate symmetric bilinear form; we mainly keep our focus, however, on the symplectic side.

Let $G$ be a reductive Lie group and ${mathcal O}$ the coadjoint orbit of a hyperbolic element of ${frak g}^*$. By $pi$ is denoted the unitary irreducible representation of $G$ associated with ${mathcal O}$ by the orbit method. We give geometric interpretations in terms of concepts related to ${mathcal O}$ of the constant $pi(g)$, for $gin Z(G)$. We also offer a description of the invariant $pi(g)$ in terms of action integrals and Berry phases. In the spirit of the orbit method we interpret geometrically the infinitesimal character of the differential representation of $pi$.
To study $s$-homogeneous algebras, we introduce the category of quivers with $s$-homogeneous corelations and the category of $s$-homogeneous triples. We show that both of these categories are equivalent to the category of $s$-homogeneous algebras. We prove some properties of the elements of $s$-homogeneous triples and give some consequences for $s$-Koszul algebras. Then we discuss the relations between the $s$-Koszulity and the Hilbert series of $s$-homogeneous triples. We give some application of the obtained results to $s$-homogeneous algebras with simple zero component. We describe all $s$-Koszul algebras with one relation recovering the result of Berger and all $s$-Koszul algebras with one dimensional $s$-th component. We show that if the $s$-th Veronese ring of an $s$-homogeneous algebra has two generators, then it has at least two relations. Finally, we classify all $s$-homogeneous algebras with $s$-th Veronese rings ${bf k}langle x,yrangle/(xy,yx)$ and ${bf k}langle x,yrangle/(x^2,y^2)$. In particular, we show that all of these algebras are not $s$-Koszul while their $s$-homogeneous duals are $s$-Koszul.
Let W be a Weyl group whose type is a simply laced Dynkin diagram. On several W-orbits of sets of mutually commuting reflections, a poset is described which plays a role in linear representatons of the corresponding Artin group A. The poset generalizes many properties of the usual order on positive roots of W given by height. In this paper, a linear representation of the positive monoid of A is defined by use of the poset.
Coadjoint orbits and multiplicity free spaces of compact Lie groups are important examples of symplectic manifolds with Hamiltonian groups actions. Constructing action-angle variables on these spaces is a challenging task. A fundamental result in the field is the Guillemin-Sternberg construction of Gelfand-Zeitlin integrable systems for the groups $K=U(n), SO(n)$. Extending these results to groups of other types is one of the goals of this paper. Partial tropicalizations are Poisson spaces with constant Poisson bracket built using techniques of Poisson-Lie theory and the geometric crystals of Berenstein-Kazhdan. They provide a bridge between dual spaces of Lie algebras ${rm Lie}(K)^*$ with linear Poisson brackets and polyhedral cones which parametrize the canonical bases of irreducible modules of $G=K^mathbb{C}$. We generalize the construction of partial tropicalizations to allow for arbitrary cluster charts, and apply it to questions in symplectic geometry. For each regular coadjoint orbit of a compact group $K$, we construct an exhaustion by symplectic embeddings of toric domains. As a by product we arrive at a conjectured formula for Gromov width of regular coadjoint orbits. We prove similar results for multiplicity free $K$-spaces.
We study the existence of symplectic resolutions of quotient singularities V/G where V is a symplectic vector space and G acts symplectically. Namely, we classify the symplectically irreducible and imprimitive groups, excluding those of the form $K rtimes S_2$ where $K < SL_2(C)$, for which the corresponding quotient singularity admits a projective symplectic resolution. As a consequence, for $dim V eq 4$, we classify all quotient singularities $V/G$ admitting a projective symplectic resolution which do not decompose as a product of smaller-dimensional quotient singularities, except for at most four explicit singularities, that occur in dimensions at most 10, for whom the question of existence remains open.
