We show that the category of graded modules over a finite-dimensional graded algebra admitting a triangular decomposition can be endowed with the structure of a highest weight category. When the algebra is self-injective, we show furthermore that this highest weight category has tilting modules in the sense of Ringel. This provides a new perspective on the representation theory of such algebras, and leads to several new structures attached to them. There are a wide variety of examples in algebraic Lie theory to which this applies: restricted enveloping algebras, Lusztigs small quantum groups, hyperalgebras, finite quantum groups, and restricted rational Cherednik algebras.

We consider self-injective finite-dimensional graded algebras admitting a triangular decomposition. In a preceding paper, we have shown that the graded module category of such an algebra is a highest weight category and has tilting objects in the sense of Ringel. In this paper we focus on the degree zero part of the algebra, the core of the algebra. We show that the core captures essentially all relevant information about the graded representation theory. Using tilting theory, we show that the core is cellular. We then describe a canonical construction of a highest weight cover, in the sense of Rouquier, of this cellular algebra using a finite subquotient of the highest weight category. Thus, beginning with a self-injective graded algebra admitting a triangular decomposition, we canonically construct a quasi-hereditary algebra which encodes key information, such as graded multiplicities, of the original algebra. Our results are general and apply to a wide variety of examples, including restricted enveloping algebras, Lusztigs small quantum groups, hyperalgebras, finite quantum groups, and restricted rational Cherednik algebras. We expect that the cell modules and quasi-hereditary algebras introduced here will provide a new way of understanding these important examples.
The Bershadsky-Polyakov algebras are the minimal quantum hamiltonian reductions of the affine vertex algebras associated to $mathfrak{sl}_3$ and their simple quotients have a long history of applications in conformal field theory and string theory. Their representation theories are therefore quite interesting. Here, we classify the simple relaxed highest-weight modules, with finite-dimensional weight spaces, for all admissible but nonintegral levels, significantly generalising the known highest-weight classifications [arxiv:1005.0185, arxiv:1910.13781]. In particular, we prove that the simple Bershadsky-Polyakov algebras with admissible nonintegral $mathsf{k}$ are always rational in category $mathscr{O}$, whilst they always admit nonsemisimple relaxed highest-weight modules unless $mathsf{k}+frac{3}{2} in mathbb{Z}_{ge0}$.
We show that the equivariant hypertoric convolution algebras introduced by Braden-Licata-Proudfoot-Webster are affine quasi hereditary in the sense of Kleshchev and compute the Ext groups between standard modules. Together with the main result of arXiv:2009.03981, this implies a number of new homological results about the bordered Floer algebras of Ozsvath-Szabo, including the existence of standard modules over these algebras. We prove that the Ext groups between standard modules are isomorphic to the homology of a variant of the Lipshitz-Ozsvath-Thurston bordered strands dg algebras.

In [19], Zheng studied the bounded derived categories of constructible $bar{mathbb{Q}}_l$-sheaves on some algebraic stacks consisting of the representations of a enlarged quiver and categorified the integrable highest weight modules of the corresponding quantum group by using these categories. In this paper, we shall generalize Zhengs work to highest weight modules of a subalgebra of the double Ringel-Hall algebra associated to a quiver in a functional version.
In 2006, Gao and Zeng cite{GZ} gave the free field realizations of highest weight modules over a class of extended affine Lie algebras. In the present paper, applying the technique of localization to those free field realizations, we construct a class of new weight modules over the extended affine Lie algebras. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for these modules to be irreducible. In this way, we construct free field realizations for a class of simple weight modules with infinite weight multiplicities over the extended affine Lie algebras.
