The ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN consists of a central barrel, a muon spectrometer and additional detectors for trigger and event classification purposes. The low transverse momentum threshold of the central barrel gives ALICE a unique opportunity to study the low mass sector of central exclusive production at the LHC.

We present results on the Central Exclusive Production of charged particle pairs $h^{+}h^{-}$ ($h = pi, K, p$), $ppto p^prime+h^{+}h^{-}+p^prime$, obtained with the STAR experiment at RHIC in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $sqrt{s} = 200$ GeV. All final-state particles were reconstructed, including forward-scattered protons detected in the Roman Pot system. As a result, the Double Pomeron Exchange (DPE) events were selected and the non-exclusive backgrounds were efficiently rejected. Differential fiducial cross sections were measured as functions of observables related to the central hadronic final state and to the forward-scattered protons. The measured cross sections were compared to phenomenological model predictions based on the DPE. We also present preliminary results on the measurement of the same physics process at higher collision energy $sqrt{s} = 510$ GeV. The data demonstrate features similar to those observed at $sqrt{s} = 200$ GeV.

Recent measurements in high-multiplicity pp and p-A collisions have revealed that these small collision systems exhibit collective-like behaviour, formerly thought to be achievable only in heavy-ion collisions. To understand the origins of these unexpected phenomena, event shape observables can be exploited, as they serve as a powerful tool to disentangle soft and hard contributions to particle production. Here, results on the production of light flavor hadrons for different classes of unweighted transverse spherocity ($S_{rm 0}^{p_{rm T}= 1}$) and relative transverse activity ($R_{rm{T}}$) in high multiplicity pp collisions at $sqrt{s}$ = 13 $textrm{TeV}$ measured with the ALICE detector are presented. Hadron-to-pion ratios in different $S_{rm 0}^{p_{rm T}= 1}$ and $R_{rm{T}}$ classes are also presented and compared with state-of-the-art QCD-inspired Monte Carlo event generators. The evolution of charged particle average transverse momentum ($langle p_{rm T}rangle$) with multiplicity and $S_{rm 0}^{p_{rm T}= 1}$ is also discussed. In addition, the system size dependence of charged particle production in pp, p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at $sqrt{s_{rm NN}}$= 5.02 TeV is presented. Finally, within the same approach, we present a search for jet quenching behavior in small collision systems.
The prospects for central exclusive diffractive (CED) production of MSSM Higgs bosons at the LHC are reviewed. It is shown that the CED channels, making use of forward proton detectors at the LHC installed at 220 m and 420 m distance around ATLAS and / or CMS, can provide important information on the Higgs sector of the MSSM. In particular, CED production of the neutral CP-even Higgs bosons h and H and their decays into bottom quarks has the potential to probe interesting regions of the M_A--tan_beta parameter plane of the MSSM and may give access to the bottom Yukawa couplings of the Higgs bosons up to masses of M_H approx 250 GeV.
The prospects for central exclusive diffractive (CED) production of MSSM Higgs bosons at the LHC are reviewed. These processes can provide important information on the $cp$-even Higgs bosons, allowing to probe interesting regions of the $MA$--$tb$ parameter plane. The sensitivity of the searches in the forward proton mode for the Higgs bosons in the so-called CDM-benchmark scenarios and the effects of fourth-generation models on the CED Higgs production are briefly discussed.
The ALICE experiment at LHC is mainly dedicated to heavy-ion physics. An overview of its performances, some predictions related to its first measurements and QGP observable measurements will be given.
