The NA48/2 Collaboration at CERN has accumulated and analysed unprecedented statistics of rare kaon decays in the $K_{e4}$ modes: $K_{e4}(+-)$ ($K^pm to pi^+ pi^- e^pm u$) and $K_{e4}(00)$ ($K^pm to pi^0 pi^0 e^pm u$) with nearly one percent background contamination. It leads to the improved measurement of branching fractions and detailed form factor studies. New final results from the analysis of 381 $K^pm to pi^pm gamma gamma$ rare decay candidates collected by the NA48/2 and NA62 experiments at CERN are presented. The results include a decay rate measurement and fits to Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) description.
Recent NA48 results from detailed studies of $K_{L,S}to pi^+ pi^- e^+ e^-$ and $K_Stopi^0 gammagamma$ decay modes are presented. The results are based on the data collected with the NA48 detector at the CERN SPS during the 1998-199 9 and 2000 data taking periods, respectively. Prospects for future results on charged kaon decays are briefly described.
The NA48/2 Collaboration at CERN has accumulated unprecedented statistics of rare kaon decays in the Ke4 modes: Ke4(+-) ($K^pm to pi^+ pi^- e^pm u$) and Ke4(00) ($K^pm to pi^0 pi^0 e^pm u$) with nearly one percent background contamination. The detailed study of form factors and branching rates, based on these data, has been completed recently. The results brings new inputs to low energy strong interactions description and tests of Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) and lattice QCD calculations. In particular, new data support the ChPT prediction for a cusp in the $pi^0pi^0$ invariant mass spectrum at the two charged pions threshold for Ke4(00) decay. New final results from an analysis of about 400 $K^pm to pi^pm gamma gamma$ rare decay candidates collected by the NA48/2 and NA62 experiments at CERN during low intensity runs with minimum bias trigger configurations are presented. The results include a model-independent decay rate measurement and fits to ChPT description.
The most recent results from the KLOE experiment are presented, covering: the measurement of the running fine-structure constant alpha_em,the Dalitz plot measurement of eta to pi+pi-pi0, the search of a U boson, tests of discrete symmetries and quantum coherence. The KLOE-2 Collaboration will take data until mid 2018 aiming to collect 5 inversed fb increasing the data set, in order to produce new precision measurements and continue studies of fundamental symmetries and New Physics.
An updated measurement of the atmospheric nu_mu/nu_e ratio-of-ratios, 0.68+-0.11+-0.06, has been obtained using a 4.6-kty exposure of the Soudan-2 iron tracking calorimeter. The L/E distributions have been analyzed for effects of nu_mu -> nu_x oscillations, and an allowed region in the Delta m^2 vs. sin^2 2 theta plane has been determined.
The KLOE detector at the DA$Phi$NE $phi$-factory has been operating in two periods from 2001 to 2006 and from 2014 to 2018 collecting a large sample of $phi$-meson decays. This allowed to perform precision measurements and studies of fundamental symmetries, and searches of New Physics phenomena. In this overview, the results of KLOE and KLOE-2 Collaborations are presented. The most recent results from the KLOE experiment are discussed, covering: the measurement of the running fine-structure constant $alpha_{em}$, the Dalitz plot measurement of $eta rightarrow pi^+pi^-pi^0$, the search of a U boson, tests of discrete symmetries and quantum decoherence.
