One of the basic motivations of the KLOE and KLOE-2 collaborations is the test of fundamental symmetries and the search for phenomena beyond the Standard Model via the hadronic and leptonic decays of ground-state mesons and via their production in the fusion of virtual gamma quanta exchanged between colliding electrons and positrons. The KLOE Collaboration completed the full data taking on March 2006, acquiring 2.5 fb ^ -1 at the peak of the phi and other 240 pb ^ -1 off-peak. A new Collaboration is working on a new project, called KLOE-2, to refine and extend the KLOE physics program. We present here some preliminary and published results from the KLOE Collaboration on the pseudoscalar eta meson and the study of gamma gamma processes, that are among the main points of the KLOE-2 physics program.

While measuring the ratio R_K = Gamma(K+e2(gamma))/Gamma(K+mu2(gamma)), the KLOE Collaboration has studied the radiative process Ke2gamma. The ratio of the width for the Ke2gamma decay with a positively polarized photon from structure-dependent radiation to the inclusive Kmu2(gamma) width is found to be 1.484(68) 10-5. The observed radiation spectrum agrees with predictions from chiral perturbation theory and is in contrast with predictions based on the light front quark model. This result reduces the contribution to systematic uncertainties on measurements of R_K. In a separate study, KLOE has measured the ratio of the radiative Ke3gamma decay width to the inclusive Ke3(gamma) width to be 924(28) 10-5. The distribution in energy and angle of the radiative photon has been analyzed in an attempt to isolate the signature from interference of the inner-bremsstrahlung and structure-dependent amplitudes.
The most recent results from the KLOE experiment are presented, covering: the measurement of the running fine-structure constant alpha_em,the Dalitz plot measurement of eta to pi+pi-pi0, the search of a U boson, tests of discrete symmetries and quantum coherence. The KLOE-2 Collaboration will take data until mid 2018 aiming to collect 5 inversed fb increasing the data set, in order to produce new precision measurements and continue studies of fundamental symmetries and New Physics.
There are about 33, 6.5 and 1.0 pb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data have been taken around the center-of-mass energies of $sqrt s=$ 3.773 GeV, at $sqrt s=$ 3.650 GeV and at $sqrt s=$ 3.6648 GeV, respectively, with the BES-II detector at the BEPC collider. By analyzing these data sets, we have measured the branching fraction for $psi(3770)to$ non-$Dbar D$ by several different methods; and have observed an anomalous line shape of $sigma^{e^+e^-to{rm hadrons}}$ in energy region from 3.65 to 3.87 GeV; and have measured the line shapes of the $D^+D^-$, $D^0bar D^0$ and $Dbar D$ production and together with the ratios of the production rates of $D^+D^-$ and $D^0bar D^0$ in $e^+e^-$ annihilation around the $psi(3770)$ resonance.

Hadron spectroscopy is one of the most important physics goals of BESIII. BESIII brings great opportunities to study the XYZ states of charmonium by directly producing the Y states up to 4.6 GeV. High statistics of charmonium decays collected at BESIII provide an excellent place for hunting gluonic excitations and studying the excited baryons. Recent results of light hadron spectroscopy and charmonium spectroscopy from BESIII will be reported.
