The relative production rate of $B^{0}_{s}$ and $B^{0}$ mesons is determined with the hadronic decays $B^{0}_{s} rightarrow D^{-}_{s}pi^{+}$ and $B^0 rightarrow D^{-}K^{+}$. The measurement uses data corresponding to 1.0 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $sqrt{s}=7$ TeV recorded in the forward region with the LHCb experiment. The ratio of production rates, $f_{s}/f_{d}$, is measured to be $0.238 pm 0.004 pm 0.015 pm 0.021 $, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third theoretical. This is combined with a previous LHCb measurement to obtain $f_{s}/f_{d} = 0.256 pm 0.020$. The dependence of $f_{s}/f_{d}$ on the transverse momentum and pseudorapidity of the $B$ meson is determined using the decays $B^{0}_{s} rightarrow D^{-}_{s}pi^{+}$ and $B^{0} rightarrow D^{-}pi^{+}$. There is evidence for a decrease with increasing transverse momentum, whereas the ratio remains constant as a function of pseudorapidity. In addition, the ratio of branching fractions of the decays $B^{0} rightarrow D^{-}K^{+}$ and $B^{0} rightarrow D^{-}pi^{+}$ is measured to be $0.0822 pm 0.0011 (textrm{stat}) pm 0.0025 (textrm{syst})$.

We report on a measurement of the flavor-specific $B^{0}_{s}$ lifetime and of the $D^{-}_{s}$ lifetime using proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to 3.0 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity. Approximately 407 000 $B^{0}_{s} rightarrow D^{(*)-}_{s} mu^{+} u_mu $ decays are partially reconstructed in the $K^{+}K^{-}pi^{-}mu^{+}$ final state. The $B^{0}_{s}$ and $D^{-}_{s}$ natural widths are determined using, as a reference, kinematically similar $B^{0} rightarrow D^{(*)-}mu^{+} u_mu$ decays reconstructed in the same final state. The resulting differences between widths of $B^{0}_{s}$ and $B^{0}$ mesons and of $D^{-}_{s}$ and $D^{-}$ mesons are $Delta_Gamma(B) =-0.0115 pm 0.0053 (stat) pm 0.0041 (syst)$ ps$^{-1}$ and $Delta_Gamma(D) = 1.0131 pm 0.0117 (stat) pm 0.0065 (syst)$ ps$^{-1}$, respectively. Combined with the known $B^{0}$ and $D^{-}$ lifetimes, these yield the flavor-specific $B^{0}_{s}$ lifetime, $tau^{rm fs}_{B^{0}_{s}} = 1.547 pm 0.013 (stat) pm 0.010 (syst) pm 0.004 (tau_{B})$ ps and the $D^{-}_{s}$ lifetime, $tau_{D^{-}_{s}} = 0.5064 pm 0.0030 (stat) pm 0.0017 (syst) pm 0.0017 (tau_{D})$ ps The last uncertainties originate from the limited knowledge of the $B^0$ and $D^{-}$ lifetimes. The results improve upon current determinations.
Finite energy QCD sum rules with Legendre polynomial integration kernels are used to determine the heavy meson decay constant $f_{B_c}$, and revisit $f_B$ and $f_{B_s}$. Results exhibit excellent stability in a wide range of values of the integration radius in the complex squared energy plane, and of the order of the Legendre polynomial. Results are $f_{B_c} = 528 pm 19$ MeV, $f_B = 186 pm 14$ MeV, and $f_{B_s} = 222 pm 12$ MeV.
We present a measurement of the relative branching fraction, R_{f_{0}/phi}, of B_{s}^{0} to J/psi f_{0}(980), with f_{0}(980) to pi^+ pi^-, to the process B_{s}^{0} to J/psi phi, with phi to K^+K^-. The J/psi f_{0}(980) final state corresponds to a CP-odd eigenstate of B_{s}^{0} that could be of interest in future studies of CP violation. Using approximately 8fb^-1 of data recorded with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider, we find R_{f_{0}/phi} = 0.275 +- 0.041(stat) +- 0.061(syst).

A measurement of the relative branching fraction of $B_{s}^{0} rightarrow J/ps i f_{0}(980), f_{0}(980) rightarrow pi^{+}pi^{-}$ to $B_{s}^{0} rightarrow J/psi phi, p hi rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}$ is presented. The decay mode $B_{s}^{0} rightarrow J/psi f_{0}(980)$ is an interesting mode since it is a CP-odd eigenstate which could be used in CP-violating studies. Using approximat ely 8 $rm{fb}^{-1}$ of data recorded with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider, a relative branching fraction of 0.210 $pm$ 0.032thinspace(stat) $pm$ 0.036thi nspace(syst) is found.

We have observed $23.2 pm 6.0_{-0.9}^{+1.0}$ purely-leptonic decays of $D_s^+ -> mu^+ u_mu$ from a sample of muonic one prong decay events detected in the emulsion target of Fermilab experiment E653. Using the $D_s^+ -> phi mu^+ u_mu$ yield measured previously in this experiment, we obtain $B(D_s^+ --> mu^+ u_mu) / B(D_s^+ --> phi mu^+ u_mu) =0.16 pm 0.06 pm 0.03$. In addition, we extract the decay constant $f_{D_s}=194 pm 35 pm 20 pm 14 MeV$.
