We systematically consider the AdS/CFT correspondence for a simplest mixed-symmetry massless gauge field described by hook Young diagram. We introduce the radial gauge fixing and explicitly solve the Dirichlet problem for the hook field equations. Solution finding conveniently splits in two steps. We first define an incomplete solution characterized by a functional freedom and then impose the boundary conditions. The resulting complete solution is fixed unambiguously up to boundary values. Two-point correlation function of hook primary operators is found via the corresponding boundary effective action computed separately in even and odd boundary dimensions. In particular, the higher-derivative action for boundary conformal hook fields is identified with a singular part of the effective action in even dimensions. The bulk/boundary symmetry transmutation within the Dirichlet boundary problem is explicitly studied. It is shown that traces of boundary fields are Stueckelberg-like modes that can be algebraically gauged away so that boundary fields are traceless.

We compute the one-loop free energies of the type-A$_ell$ and type-B$_ell$ higher-spin gravities in $(d+1)$-dimensional anti-de Sitter (AdS$_{d+1}$) spacetime. For large $d$ and $ell$, these theories have a complicated field content, and hence it is difficult to compute their zeta functions using the usual methods. Applying the character integral representation of zeta function developed in the companion paper arXiv:1805.05646 to these theories, we show how the computation of their zeta function can be shortened considerably. We find that the results previously obtained for the massless theories ($ell=1$) generalize to their partially-massless counterparts (arbitrary $ell$) in arbitrary dimensions.
According to Two-Time Physics, there is more to space-time than can be garnered with the ordinary formulation of physics. Two-Time Physics has shown that the Standard Model of Particles and Forces is successfully reproduced by a two-time field theory in 4 space and 2 time dimensions projected as a holographic image on an emergent spacetime in 3+1 dimensions. Among the successes of this approach is the resolution of the strong CP problem of QCD as an outcome of the restrictions imposed by the higher symmetry structures in 4+2 dimensions. In this paper we launch a program to construct the duals of the Standard Model as other holographic images of the same 4+2 dimensional theory on a variety of emergent spacetimes in 3+1 dimensions. These dual field theories are obtained as a family of gauge choices in the master 4+2 field theory. In the present paper we deal with some of the simpler gauge choices which lead to interacting Klein-Gordon field theories for the conformal scalar with a predicted SO(d,2) symmetry in a variety of interesting curved spacetimes in (d-1)+1 dimensions. More challenging and more interesting gauge choices (including some that relate to mass) which are left to future work are also outlined. Through this approach we discover a new realm of previously unexplored dualities and hidden symmetries that exist both in the macroscopic and microscopic worlds, at the classical and quantum levels. Such phenomena predicted by 2T-physics can in principle be confirmed both by theory and experiment. 1T-physics can be used to analyze the predictions but in most instances gives no clue that the predicted phenomena exist in the first place. This point of view suggests a new paradigm for the construction of a fundamental theory that is likely to impact on the quest for unification.

We investigate the holographic entanglement entropy of deformed conformal field theories which are dual to a cutoff AdS space. The holographic entanglement entropy evaluated on a three-dimensional Poincare AdS space with a finite cutoff can be reinterpreted as that of the dual field theory deformed by either a boost or $T bar{T}$ deformation. For the boost case, we show that, although it trivially acts on the underlying theory, it nontrivially affects the entanglement entropy due to the length contraction. For a three-dimensional AdS, we show that the effect of the boost transformation can be reinterpreted as the rescaling of the energy scale, similar to the $T bar{T}$ deformation. Under the boost and $T bar{T}$ deformation, the $c$-function of the entanglement entropy exactly shows the features expected by the Zamoldchikovs $c$-theorem. The deformed theory is always stationary at a UV fixed point and monotonically flows to another CFT in the IR fixed point. We also show that the holographic entanglement entropy in a Poincare cutoff AdS space can reproduce the exact same result of the $T bar{T}$ deformed theory on a two-dimensional sphere.

We study two-interval holographic entanglement entropy and entanglement wedge cross section in cutoff AdS. In particular, we investigate phase transitions of them. For two-interval entanglement entropy, the transition point monotonically decreases with a deformation parameter, which means that by the TT deformation the degrees of freedom in subsystems are decreasing. This implies that the effect of the TT deformation can be regarded as the rescaling of the energy scale. We also study entanglement wedge cross section in cutoff AdS, and our result implies that for the entanglement of purification in the TT deformed CFTs phase transition could occur even for fixed subsystems.
Using two different models from holographic quantum chromodynamics (QCD) we study the deconfinement phase transition in $2+1$ dimensions in the presence of a magnetic field. Working in 2+1 dimensions lead us to {sl exact} solutions on the magnetic field, in contrast with the case of 3+1 dimensions where the solutions on the magnetic field are perturbative. As our main result we predict a critical magnetic field $B_c$ where the deconfinement critical temperature vanishes. For weak fields meaning $B<B_c$ we find that the critical temperature decreases with increasing magnetic field indicating an inverse magnetic catalysis (IMC). On the other hand, for strong magnetic fields $B>B_c$ we find that the critical temperature raises with growing field showing a magnetic catalysis (MC). These results for IMC and MC are in agreement with the literature.
