In this paper, we construct a new family of random series defined on $R^D$, indexed by one scaling parameter and two Hurst-like exponents. The model is close to Takagi-Knopp functions, save for the fact that the underlying partitions of $R^D$ are not the usual dyadic meshes but random Voronoi tessellations generated by Poisson point processes. This approach leads us to a continuous function whose random graph is shown to be fractal with explicit and equal box and Hausdorff dimensions. The proof of this main result is based on several new distributional properties of the Poisson-Voronoi tessellation on the one hand, an estimate of the oscillations of the function coupled with an application of a Frostman-type lemma on the other hand. Finally, we introduce two related models and provide in particular a box-dimension calculation for a derived deterministic Takagi-Knopp series with hexagonal bases.

In this paper we study the existence phase transition of the random fractal ball model and the random fractal box model. We show that both of these are in the empty phase at the critical point of this phase transition.
Let $U_1,U_2,ldots$ be random points sampled uniformly and independently from the $d$-dimensional upper half-sphere. We show that, as $ntoinfty$, the $f$-vector of the $(d+1)$-dimensional convex cone $C_n$ generated by $U_1,ldots,U_n$ weakly converges to a certain limiting random vector, without any normalization. We also show convergence of all moments of the $f$-vector of $C_n$ and identify the limiting constants for the expectations. We prove that the expected Grassmann angles of $C_n$ can be expressed through the expected $f$-vector. This yields convergence of expected Grassmann angles and conic intrinsic volumes and answers thereby a question of Barany, Hug, Reitzner and Schneider [Random points in halfspheres, Rand. Struct. Alg., 2017]. Our approach is based on the observation that the random cone $C_n$ weakly converges, after a suitable rescaling, to a random cone whose intersection with the tangent hyperplane of the half-sphere at its north pole is the convex hull of the Poisson point process with power-law intensity function proportional to $|x|^{-(d+gamma)}$, where $gamma=1$. We compute the expected number of facets, the expected intrinsic volumes and the expected $T$-functional of this random convex hull for arbitrary $gamma>0$.
The concept of typical and weighted typical spherical faces for tessellations of the $d$-dimensional unit sphere, generated by $n$ independent random great hyperspheres distributed according to a non-degenerate directional distribution, is introduced and studied. Probabilistic interpretations for such spherical faces are given and their directional distributions are determined. Explicit formulas for the expected $f$-vector, the expected spherical Quermass integrals and the expected spherical intrinsic volumes are found in the isotropic case. Their limiting behaviour as $ntoinfty$ is discussed and compared to the corresponding notions and results in the Euclidean case. The expected statistical dimension and a problem related to intersection probabilities of spherical random polytopes is investigated.
Consider a planar random point process made of the union of a point (the origin) and of a Poisson point process with a uniform intensity outside a deterministic set surrounding the origin. When the intensity goes to infinity, we show that the Voronoi cell associated with the origin converges from above to a deterministic convex set. We describe this set and give the asymptotics of the expectation of its defect area, defect perimeter and number of vertices. On the way, two intermediary questions are treated. First, we describe the mean characteristics of the Poisson-Voronoi cell conditioned on containing a fixed convex body around the origin and secondly, we show that the nucleus of such cell converges to the Steiner point of the convex body. As in Renyi and Sulankes seminal papers on random convex hulls, the regularity of the convex body has crucial importance. We deal with both the smooth and polygonal cases. Techniques are based notably on accurate estimates of the area of the Voronoi flower and of the support function of the cell containing the origin as well as on an Efron-type relation.
We consider dynamic random walks where the nearest neighbour jump rates are determined by an underlying supercritical contact process in equilibrium. This has previously been studied by den Hollander and dos Santos and den Hollander, dos Santos, Sidoravicius. We show the CLT for such a random walk, valid for all supercritical infection rates for the contact process environment.
