The excitation function for the $ppto ppK^+K^-$ reaction revealed a significant enhancement close to threshold which may plausibly be assigned to the influence of the $pK^-$ and $K^+K^-$ final state interactions. In an improved reanalysis of COSY-11 data for the $ppto ppK^+K^-$ reaction at excess energies of Q = 10 MeV and 28 MeV including the proton-K- interaction the enhancement is confirmed. Invariant mass distributions for the two- and three-particle subsystems allow to test at low excess energies the ansatz and parameters for the description of the interaction in the ppK+K- system as derived from the COSY-ANKE data. Finally, based for the first time on the low energy K+K- invariant mass distributions and the generalized Dalitz plot analysis, we estimate the scattering length for the K+K- interaction to be |Re(a_K^+K^-)| = 0.5 + 4.0 -0.5 fm and Im(a_K^+K^-) = 3.0 +- 3.0 fm.

The resonant structure of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^+ to K^-K^+K^+$ is studied for the first time. The measurement is based on a sample of pp-collision data, collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV with the LHCb detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb$^-1$. The amplitude analysis of this decay is performed with the isobar model and a phenomenological model based on an effective chiral Lagrangian. In both models the S-wave component in the $K^-K^+$ system is dominant, with a small contribution of the $phi(1020)$ meson and a negligible contribution from tensor resonances. The $K^-K^+$ scattering amplitudes for the considered combinations of spin (0,1) and isospin (0,1) of the two-body system are obtained from the Dalitz plot fit with the phenomenological decay amplitude.
The cross sections for the pp -> ppK+K- reaction were measured at three beam energies 2.65, 2.70, and 2.83 GeV at the COSY-ANKE facility. The shape of the K+K- spectrum at low invariant masses largely reflects the importance of Kbar{K} final state interactions. It is shown that these data can be understood in terms of an elastic K+K- rescattering plus a contribution coming from the production of a K0bar{K}0 pair followed by a charge-exchange rescattering. Though the data are not yet sufficient to establish the size of the cusp at the K0bar{K}0 threshold, the low mass behaviour suggests that isospin-zero production is dominant.

We present a Dalitz plot analysis of the decay D+ -> K- pi+ pi+ based on 281 pb-1 of e+e- collision data produced at the psi(3770) by CESR and observed with the CLEO-c detector. We select 67086 candidate events with a small, ~1.1%, background for this analysis. When using a simple isobar model our results are consistent with the previous measurements done by E791. Since our sample is considerably larger we can explore alternative models. We find better agreement with data when we include an isospin-two pi+pi+ S-wave contribution. We apply a quasi model-independent partial wave analysis and measure the amplitude and phase of the K pi and pi+pi+ S waves in the range of invariant masses from the threshold to the maximum in this decay.
Using an effective Lagrangian approach as well as the Quark-Gluon Strings Model we analyze near-threshold production of a0(980)-mesons in the reaction NN -> d K bar{K} as well as the background of non-resonant Kbar{K}-pair production. We argue that the reaction pp -> d K^+ bar{K}^0 at an energy release Q<=100 MeV is dominated by the intermediate production of the a0(980)-resonance. At larger energies the non-resonant K^+bar{K}^0-pair production - where the kaons are produced in a relative P-wave - becomes important. Then effects of final-state interactions are evaluated in a unitarized scattering-length approach and found to be in the order of a 20% suppression close to threshold. Thus in present experiments at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY-Julich for Q<=107 MeV the a_0^+ signal can reliably be separated from the non-resonant K^+bar{K^0} background.
The ongoing discussion concerning the nature of the scalar resonances f_0(980) and a_0(980) implicated to extend the studies of the pp -> ppK+K- reaction near the production threshold. Furthermore, such elementary production processes allow to study the interaction of the outgoing particles due to their low relative momenta. Therefore, final state interactions in the pK or K Anti-K system can be perfectly studied in such experiments. The acquired data at the excess energies Q=10 and 28 MeV have been taken at COSY-11 and the status of the ongoing analysis will be presented.
