The production of $W^+ W^-$ pair in hadron colliders was calculated up to loop corrections by some authors in the Electroweak standard model (SM) framework. This production was also calculated, at the tree level, in some extensions of the SM such as the vector singlet, the fermion mirror fermion and the vector doublet models by considering the contributions of new neutral gauge bosons and exotic fermions. The obtained results for $e^+ e^-$ and $pp$ collisions pointed out that the new physics contributions are quite important. This motivates us to calculate the production of a more massive charged gauge boson predicted by the ${SU (3)_C times SU (3)_L times U (1)_X}$ model (3-3-1 model). Thus, the aim of the present paper is to analyze the role played by of the extra gauge boson ${Z^prime}$ and of the exotic quarks, predicted in the minimal version of the 3-3-1 model, by considering the inclusive production of a pair of bileptons ($V^pm$) in the reaction $p + p longrightarrow V^+ + V^- + X$, at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies. Our results show that the correct energy behavior of the elementary cross section follows from the balance between the contributions of the extra neutral gauge boson with those from the exotic quarks. The extra neutral gauge boson induces flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC) at tree level, and we have introduced the ordinary quark mixing matrices for the model when the first family transforms differently to the other two with respect to $SU(3)_L$. We obtain a huge number of heavy bilepton pairs produced for two different values of the center of mass energy of the LHC.

We analyze the LHC prospects for measurements of the $tbar{t}$ pair produced exclusively in photon-photon or semi-exclusively in photon-Pomeron and Pomeron-Pomeron processes using protons tagged in forward proton detectors on both sides of the interaction point. These processes are interesting from the point of view of a possible measurement of the top quark mass and constraining models used in Beyond Standard Model physics. Focusing on the semi-leptonic channel, $tbar{t}rightarrow jjbl u_lbar{b}$, making use of the exclusive nature of the final state, together with the use of timing information provided by forward proton detectors, relevant exclusive and inclusive backgrounds are studied in detail for different luminosity (or pile-up) scenarios and found to be important for further considerations. While good prospects are found for observing the signal, the top quark mass measurement turns out not to be competitive with measurements in inclusive channels.

We examine, as model-independently as possible, the production of bileptons at hadron colliders. When a particular model is necessary or useful, we choose the 3-3-1 model. We consider a variety of processes: q anti-q -> Y^{++} Y^{--}, u anti-d -> Y^{++} Y^{-}, anti-u d -> Y^+ Y^{--}, q anti-q -> Y^{++} e^{-} e^{-}, q anti-q -> phi^{++} phi^{--}, u anti-d -> -> phi^{++} phi^{-}, and anti-u d -> phi^{+} phi^{--}, where Y and phi are vector and scalar bileptons, respectively. Given the present low-energy constraints, we find that at the Tevatron, vector bileptons are unobservable, while light scalar bileptons (M_phi <= 300 GeV) are just barely observable. At the LHC, the reach is extended considerably: vector bileptons of mass M_Y <= 1 TeV are observable, as are scalar bileptons of mass M_phi <= 850 GeV.

We compute the third-order correction to the heavy-quark current correlation function due to the emission and absorption of an ultrasoft gluon. Our result supplies a missing contribution to top-quark pair production near threshold and the determination of the bottom quark mass from QCD sum rules.
We present results at NLO QCD for hadronic production and decay of top quark pairs, taking into account t tbar spin correlations.

In this work, we investigate the prompt $J/psi$ production in associated with top quark pair to leading order in the nonrelativistic QCD factorization formalism at the LHC with $sqrt{s} =13$ TeV. In addition to the contribution from direct $J/psi$ production, we also include the indirect contribution from the directly produced heavier charmmonia $chi_{cJ}$ and $psi^prime$. We present the numerical results for the total and differential cross sections and find that the $sideset{^3}{^{(8)}_1}{mathop{{S}}}$ states give the dominant contributions. The prompt $tbar t J/psi$ signatures at the LHC are analyzed in the tetralepton channel $ppto (tto W^+(ell^+ u)b) (bar t to W^-(ell^- bar u)bar b) (J/psitomu^+mu^-)$ and trilepton channel $ppto (tto W(q q^prime)b) ( t to W(ell u) b) (J/psitomu^+mu^-)$, with the $J/psi$ mesons decaying into muon pair, and the top quarks decaying leptonically or hadronically. We find that $tbar t J/psi$ proudction can be potentially detected at the LHC, whose measurement is useful to test the heavy quarkonium production mechanism.
