QoL was measured using a combination of skin disease-specific (Dermatological Life Quality Index (DLQI)) and acne-specific (Cardiff Acne Disability Index (CADI)) questionnaires. The results showed significant impairment of QoL in acne patients , females were more affected than the males, there was no association between age and quality of life impairment and the impact was proportional to the severity of acne, more severe acne is associated with greater effect on quality of life.
