Feminism In Paulo Coelho's Brida

Abstract in English

Historically, the concept of 'woman' has varied and changed in keeping with the ruling social ideology of the time, and this has caused a number of challenges for women. This paper is a study of how a woman struggles to prove herself and how a female attempts to discover her own identity, in concord or in conflict with the dominant social ideology in her contemporary society.
