Analysis of production decline curves (DCA) to assess oil yield in Thayyem field– Alrutbah formation

Abstract in English

In this study, we study the applications of DCA technology to calculate the specifications of the reservoir by using the equation of the material balance in the modeling and simulation programs in order to estimate Geological reserve. This technique is based on the analysis of the decline in production, which is the analysis of the previous data of the decline in production performance, which is expressed in the graphs that link the rate of production and time, or the rate of production and cumulative productivity. For each of the wells and reservoirs, and we will take in this research these curves from 1975 to 2005. We will specialize in research one of the fields of the Euphrates (Thayyem field– Alrutbah formation) hoping that this modest study will achieve the desired goal.
