This research entitled as {The Semiotics of Names in Abdul-Salam AL-Ojayli's Novel Al-Maghmorun}, discusses the possibility of applying semiotic methods in analyzing the names in novels, that is through applying the methods of semiotics in analyzing the novel of Abdul-Salam AL-Ojayli Al-Maghmoroon. The research is started with theoretical and rooting study of semiotics and its cognitive and intellectual theories, however the study also comprises the vast domains of semiotics and focuses on the literary domain. Semiotics was applied in linguistic and literary studies of poetry and both fictional and narrative prose.
