Experimentally induced inflammation of the gingiva of wistar rats Shown remarkable increase in prostaglandins E. Adminstration of endometacin drug at the stage of acut inflammation has led to a dicrease of prostaglandins E level in the gingiva and the improvement of the periodontal inflammation and the general state of the animal . This research has proved the importance of increasing biosynthesis of prostaglandin E (and consequently the increase of prostaglandin E in the gingiva) in the begening and development of periodontal inflammation , in addition to the importance using prostaglandins synthesis inhibitors in the treatment of this disease .
