The effects of BMP-2 on E-cadherin expression in the induced oral squamous cell carcinoma in Syrian hamsters Buccal pouch

Abstract in English

Recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2 ) is effectively to regenerate defects of the maxillary and mandible bones. Such defects are sometimes caused by resection of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) yet the biologic effects of rhBMP-2 on this malignancy and its histological relations and the ability of invasion and metastasis are not fully clear. Aim of the study : this study aimed to investigate the effects of rhBMP2 on E-cadherin expression , which plays a pivotal role in the cellular adhesion through the adherent junctions.
