Administrative Employees’ Attitudes towards the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Organizational Structure of Hospitals in the Public and Private sectors A comparative field study in Damascus City Province


Abstract in English

The aim of the current study was to identify the nature of employees’ atvitrales (positive or negative) attitudes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational structures of hospitals in public and private sectors in conducting administrative tasks. The study also aimed at investigating the differences in these attitudes according to a group of categorical variables (functional level, administrative affiliation, years of experience, academic qualification). In order to achieve these goals, a questionnaire was designed after checking its standard characteristics (validity and reliability), which included (25) items. The study was applied to a sample of (400) employees, who were equally distributed within (10) hospitals (5 public ones – 5 private ones), that were spread in different areas in Damascus City.
