The Influence of Some Factors in Evaluating the School of Education Staff Teaching Performance in Al-Baath University from the Perspective of Students


Abstract in English

This study aims at recognizing the influence of some factors; the nationality of students, academic year, gender of the lecturer and the lecturer's academic status, in evaluating the staff teaching performance as one aspect of educational performance. The research tool designed for this purpose comprises 58 statement grouped under four categories and distributed to 400 male and female students randomly chosen from the Faculty of Education in Al-Baath University, Syria to evaluate the teaching performance of seven lecturers in the same faculty. The study concluded that a statistically significant differences identified in the results obtained from the evaluation conducted by the students of the teaching performance related to the teaching staff according to the variable of 'academic status' , contrary to other variables.
