Analytical Studying of Determination Iron (II) Ions in Aqueous Solutions Using 4-Hydroxy-3-[[(2-hydroxy phenyl) methylene] amino] benzene Sulphonic Acid by Spectrophotometric Method


Abstract in English

The possibility of formating a colored complex between Fe2+ ions and 4-Hydroxy-3- [[(2-hydroxy phenyl) methylene] amino] benzene Sulphonic Acid (HVMAB) was studied spectrophotometric method for determination of iron in aqueous solutions. The reagent reacts in aqueous medium at pH=5 to give an orange complex with maximum absorbance λmax=415nm.
