Analytical Study of the Architecture of St. Peter’s Church in Vatican (Rome) and its Spiritual Indications


Abstract in English

The monumental buildings are considered of the greatest indications to the identity of the country which they represent with their various functions, particularly the religious buildings which are considered typical to themonumental architecture. The Christian architecture in more comprehensive meaning aims at employing all its spiritual principles and concepts in its architecture. Thus, St. Peter’s Church has acquired worldwide interest and has taken the character of the architectural milestone.The research discusses the architectural and analytical study of the Church through approaching the architectural solution and the elements constituting it, and its reflection on the spiritual side. The research aims at setting recommendations and design bases to help modern architects design Christian, similar architecture.
