This paper aims at studying the changes occurring in residential components and cultural backgrounds of residents and their effect upon urbanism and urban structures in areas of cultural values, and thus discovers the reasons of their deterioration and binds them with urban and non-urban aspects together with assuring the importance of non-urban aspects in forming the spirit and character of these areas. The methodology of this study depends on pursuing human beingplace relationship, considering cultural, social and urban outcomes through studying human being's relationship with the place of cultural value and a certain place within " traditional quarter" “Al hara” in particular, and the cultural social effects of this relationship upon urbanism and residential environment in historical nucleuses of Arabic cities.
