A critically discerning discussion of path integral bosonization is given. Successively evaluating the conventional path integral bosonization of QCD it is shown without any approximations that gluons must be composed of two quarks. This contradicts the fundamentals of QCD, where quarks and gluons are independent fields. Furthermore, bosonizing the Fierz reordered effective four quark interaction term yields gluons, too. Colorless ``mesons are shown to be Fierz equivalent to a submanifold of gluons. The results obtained are not specific to QCD, but apply to other models as well.

Complex monopole configurations dominate in the path integral in the Georgi-Glashow-Chern-Simons model and disorder the Higgs vacuum. No cancellation is expected among Gribov copies of the monopole configurations.
We consider the $U(1)$ Chern-Simons gauge theory defined in a general closed oriented 3-manifold $M$; the functional integration is used to compute the normalized partition function and the expectation values of the link holonomies. The nonperturbative path-integral is defined in the space of the gauge orbits of the connections which belong to the various inequivalent $U(1)$ principal bundles over $M$; the different sectors of the configuration space are labelled by the elements of the first homology group of $M$ and are characterized by appropriate background connections. The gauge orbits of flat connections, whose classification is also based on the homology group, control the extent of the nonperturbative contributions to the mean values. The functional integration is achieved in any 3-manifold $M$, and the corresponding path-integral invariants turn out to be strictly related with the abelian Reshetikhin-Turaev surgery invariants.
We propose how to incorporate the Leites-Shchepochkina-Konstein-Tyutin deformed antibracket into the quantum field-antifield formalism.
We develop the path integral formalism for studying cosmological perturbations in multi-field inflation, which is particularly well suited to study quantum theories with gauge symmetries such as diffeomorphism invariance. We formulate the gauge fixing conditions based on the Poisson brackets of the constraints, from which we derive two convenient gauges that are appropriate for multi-field inflation. We then adopt the in-in formalism to derive the most general expression for the power spectrum of the curvature perturbation including the corrections from the interactions of the curvature mode with other light degrees of freedom. We also discuss the contributions of the interactions to the bispectrum.
In this work, we formulate a path-integral optimization for two dimensional conformal field theories perturbed by relevant operators. We present several evidences how this optimization mechanism works, based on calculations in free field theories as well as general arguments of RG flows in field theories. Our optimization is performed by minimizing the path-integral complexity functional that depends on the metric and also on the relevant couplings. Then, we compute the optimal metric perturbatively and find that it agrees with the time slice of the hyperbolic metric perturbed by a scalar field in the AdS/CFT correspondence. Last but not the least, we estimate contributions to complexity from relevant perturbations.
