Unitarity relates the total cross section for neutrino-nucleon scattering to the neutrino-nucleon forward scattering amplitude. Assuming the validity of the perturbative expansion of the forward amplitude in the {em weak} coupling constant, we derive a unitarity bound on the inelastic cross section. The inelastic cross section saturates this bound at a typical neutrino energy $E_ u simeq 10^8 {rm GeV}$. This implies that calculations of the inelastic cross section that use current parton distribution functions and lowest order weak perturbation theory are unreliable above this energy.

An updated set of (anti)neutrino-nucleon charged and neutral current cross sections at $3~{rm GeV} lesssim E_ u lesssim 100~{rm GeV}$ is presented. These cross sections are of particular interest for the detector optimization and data processing and interpretation in the future Megaton-scale experiments like PINGU, ORCA, and Hyper-Kamiokande. Finite masses of charged leptons and target mass corrections in exclusive and deep inelastic $(bar u) u N$ interactions are taken into account. A new set of QCD NNLO parton density functions, the ABMP15, is used for calculation of the DIS cross sections. The sensitivity of the cross sections to phenomenological parameters and to extrapolations of the nucleon structure functions to small $x$ and $Q^2$ is studied. An agreement within the uncertainties of our calculations with experimental data is demonstrated.

The next generation of neutrino oscillation experiments aims to answer many interesting questions, such as whether there is CP violation in the neutrino sector and whether sterile neutrinos exist. These experiments will require high precision cross section measurements of various neutrino and anti-neutrino interaction channels. We review results and prospects for such measurements from the MiniBooNE, T2K, MINER$ u$A and ArgoNeuT collaborations.
Neutrino Physics is now entering precision era and neutrino-nucleon cross sections are an im- portant ingredient in all neutrino oscillation experiments. Specially, precise knowledge of neutrino- nucleon cross sections in Ultra High Energy (UHE) regime (TeV-PeV) is becoming more important now, as several experiments worldwide are going to observe processes involving such UHE neutrinos. In this work, we present new results on neutrino-nucleon cross-sections in this UHE regime, using QCD.

Neutrino oscillations physics entered in the precision era. In this context accelerator-based neutrino experiments need a reduction of systematic errors to the level of a few percent. Today one of the most important sources of systematic errors are the neutrino-nucleus cross sections. The status of our knowledge of these cross sections in the different open channels in the few-GeV region, i.e. the quasielastic, the pion production and the multinucleon emission, is reviewed. Special emphasis is devoted to the multinucleon emission channel, which attracted a lot of attention in the last few years. It is crucial to properly reconstruct the neutrino energy which enters the expression of the oscillation probability. This channel was not included in the generators used for the analyses of the neutrino cross sections and oscillations experiments.

We present an improved model on neutrino- and electron-nucleon scattering cross sections using effective leading order PDFs with a new scaling variable xi_w. Non-perturbative QCD effects at low Q^2 are separately treated for u and d valence quarks, and sea quarks. The improved model uses all inelastic charged lepton F_2 data (SLAC/BCDMS/NMC/HERA), and photoproduction data on proton and deuterium. In this way, we obtain an improved model which describes all inelastic scattering charged lepton data, JLAB resonance data, and neutrino data. This improved model is expected to be better for neutrino oscillation experiments at few GeV region.
