We report on the observation of a K$_s$p resonance signal at a mass of 1765$pm$5 MeV/c$^2$, with intrinsic width $Gamma = 108pm 22$ MeV/c$^2$, produced inclusively in $Sigma^-$-nucleus interactions at 340 GeV/c in the hyperon beam experiment WA89 at CERN. The signal was observed in the kinematic region $x_F>0.7$, in this region its production cross section rises approximately linearly with $(1-x_F)$, reaching $BR(Xto K_S p)cdot dsigma /dx_F = (5.2pm 2.3) mu b $ per nucleon at $x_F=0.8$. The hard xf spectrum suggests the presence of a strong leading particle effect in the production and hence the identification as a $Sigma^{*+}$ state. No corresponding peaks were observed in the $K^- p$ and $Lambda pi^{pm}$ mass spectra.

We report the first observation of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^+_sto K^+K^+pi^-$ using 605 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The branching ratio with respect to its Cabibbo-favored counterpart $mathcal{B}(D^+_sto K^+K^+pi^-)$ / $mathcal{B}(D^+_sto K^+K^-pi^+)$ is (0.229$pm0.028pm$0.012)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. We also report a significantly improved measurement of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^+to K^+pi^+pi^-$, with a branching ratio $mathcal{B}(D^+to K^+pi^+pi^-)$ / $mathcal{B}(D^+to K^-pi^+pi^+)$=(0.569$pm0.018pm$0.014)%.
A search for $C!P$ violation in the decay $Lambda^0_b to p K^- mu^+ mu^-$ is presented. This decay is mediated by flavour-changing neutral-current transitions in the Standard Model and is potentially sensitive to new sources of $C!P$ violation. The study is based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions recorded with the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3$ $mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The $Lambda^0_b to p K^- mu^+ mu^-$ decay is observed for the first time, and two observables that are sensitive to different manifestations of $C!P$ violation are measured, $Deltamathcal{A}_{C!P} equiv mathcal{A}_{C!P}(Lambda^0_b to p K^- mu^+ mu^-)-mathcal{A}_{C!P}(Lambda^0_bto pK^- J/psi)$ and $a_{C!P}^{widehat{T}-odd}$, where the latter is based on asymmetries in the angle between the $mu^+mu^-$ and $p K^-$ decay planes. These are measured to be $Deltamathcal{A}_{C!P} = (-3.5 pm 5.0(stat) pm 0.2(syst))times 10^{-2}$, $a_{C!P}^{widehat{T}-odd} = (1.2 pm 5.0(stat) pm 0.7(syst))times 10^{-2}$, and no evidence for $C!P$ violation is found.
Decays of the $Xi_b^-$ and $Omega_b^-$ baryons to the charmless final states $p h^{-}h^{prime -}$, where $h^{(prime)}$ denotes a kaon or pion, are searched for with the LHCb detector. The analysis is based on a sample of proton-proton collision data collected at centre-of-mass energies $sqrt{s} = 7$ and $8 TeV$, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3 {rm fb}^{-1}$. The decay $Xi_b^- to p K^-K^-$ is observed with a significance of $8.7$ standard deviations, and evidence at the level of $3.4$ standard deviations is found for the $Xi_b^- to p K^-pi^-$ decay. Results are reported, relative to the $B^-to K^+K^-K^-$ normalisation channel, for the products of branching fractions and $b$-hadron production fractions. The branching fractions of $Xi_b^- to p K^-pi^-$ and $Xi_b^- to p pi^-pi^-$ relative to $Xi_b^- to p K^-K^-$ decays are also measured.
The decay $overline{B}_s^0 rightarrow psi(2S) K^+ pi^-$ is observed using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3.0fb^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment in $pp$ collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The branching fraction relative to the $B^0rightarrow psi(2S) K^+ pi^-$ decay mode is measured to be begin{equation} frac{{cal B}(overline{B}^0_s rightarrow psi(2S) K^+ pi^-)}{{cal B}(B^0 rightarrow psi(2S) K^+ pi^-)} = 5.38 pm 0.36 (stat) pm 0.22 (syst) pm 0.31 , (f_s/f_d) , %, onumber end{equation} where $f_s/f_d$ indicates the uncertainty due to the ratio of probabilities for a $b$ quark to hadronise into a $B_s^0$ or $B^0$ meson. Using an amplitude analysis, the fraction of decays proceeding via an intermediate $K^*(892)^0$ meson is measured to be $0.645 pm 0.049 (stat) pm 0.049 (syst)$ and its longitudinal polarisation fraction is $0.524 pm 0.056 (stat) pm 0.029 (syst)$. The relative branching fraction for this component is determined to be begin{equation} frac{{cal B}(overline{B}^0_s rightarrow psi(2S) K^*(892)^0)}{{cal B}(B^0 rightarrow psi(2S) K^*(892)^0)} = 5.58 pm 0.57 (stat) pm 0.40 (syst) pm 0.32 , (f_s/f_d) , %. onumber end{equation} In addition, the mass splitting between the $B_s^0$ and $B^0$ mesons is measured as begin{equation} M(B^0_s) - M(B^0) = 87.45 pm 0.44 (stat) pm 0.07 (syst) MeV/c^2. onumber end{equation}
We report the first observation of the decay $Lambda^{+}_{c} rightarrow p K^{+} pi^{-}$ using a 980 $mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. This is the first doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay of a charmed baryon to be observed. We measure the branching ratio of this decay with respect to its Cabibbo-favored counterpart to be $mathcal{B}(Lambda^{+}_{c} rightarrow p K^{+} pi^{-})/mathcal{B}(Lambda^{+}_{c} rightarrow p K^{-} pi^{+})=(2.35pm0.27pm0.21)times10^{-3}$, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.
