High resolution spectra of five stars in the bulge globular cluster NGC 6528 were obtained at the 8m VLT UT2-Kueyen telescope with the UVES spectrograph. Out of the five stars, two of them showed evidence of binarity. The target stars belong to the horizontal and red giant branch stages, at 4000<T_eff<4800 K. Multiband V,I,J,H,Ks photometry was used to derive initial effective temperatures and gravities. The main purpose of this study is the determination of metallicity and elemental ratios for this template bulge cluster, as a basis for the fundamental calibration of metal-rich populations. The present analysis provides a metallicity [Fe/H] = -0.1pm0.2 and the alpha-elements O, Mg and Si, show [alpha/Fe] ~ +0.1, whereas Ca and Ti are around the solar value or below, resulting in an overall metallicity Z ~ Zsun.

Using two epochs of HST/WFPC2 images of the metal-rich globular cluster NGC 6528 we derive the proper motions of the stars and use them to separate the stars belonging to NGC 6528 from those of the Galactic bulge. The stellar sequences in theresulting colour-magnitude diagram for the cluster are significantly better determined than in previously published data. From comparison of the colour-magnitude diagram with the fiducial line for NGC 6553 from Zoccali et al. (2001) we conclude that the two globular clusters have the same age. Further, using alpha-enhanced stellar isochrones, NGC 6528 is found to have an age of 11+-2 Gyr. This fitting of isochrones also give that the cluster is 7.2 kpc away from us. From the measured velocities both the proper motion of the cluster and the velocity dispersion in the Galactic bulge are found. NGC 6528 is found to have a proper motion relative to the Galactic bulge of mu_l=0.006 and mu_b=0.044 arcsec per century. Using stars with 14<V_555<19 (i.e. the red giant branch and horizontal branch) we find, for the Galactic bulge, sigma_l= 0.33+-0.03 and sigma_{b}= 0.25+-0.02 arcsec per century. This give sigma_l/sigma_b=1.32+-0.16, consistent both with previous proper motion studies of K giants in the Galactic bulge as well as with predictions by models of the kinematics of bulge stars.

We make use of high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio spectra of 12 turn-off stars in the metal-poor globular cluster NGC 6397 to measure its lithium content. We conclude that they all have the same lithium abundance A(Li) = 2.34 with a standard deviation of 0.056 dex. We use this result, together with Monte Carlo simulations, to estimate that the maximum allowed intrinsic scatter is of the order of 0.035 dex. This is a new stringent constraint to be fulfilled by stellar models which predict Li depletion. We argue that although a mild depletion of 0.1 -- 0.2 dex, as predicted by recent models, cannot be ruled out, there is no compelling reason for it. This fact, together with the good agreement with the Li abundance observed in field stars, supports the primordial origin of lithium in metal-poor stars. Taking the above value as the primordial lithium abundance implies a cosmic baryonic density which is either Omega_b h^2 = 0.016 +/- 0.004 or Omega_b h^2 = 0.005 ^{+0.0026}_{-0.0006}, from the predictions of standard big bang nucleosynthesis. The high baryonic density solution is in agreement with recent results on the primordial abundance of deuterium and 3He and on the estimates derived from the fluctuations of the cosmic microwave background.
Globular Clusters are among the oldest objects in the Galaxy, thus their researchers are key to understanding the processes of evolution and formation that the galaxy has experienced in early stages. Spectroscopic studies allow us to carry out detailed analyzes on the chemical composition of Globular Clusters. The aim of our research is to perform a detailed analysis of chemical abundances to a sample of stars of the Bulge Globular Cluster NGC 6553, in order to determine chemical patterns that allow us to appreciate the phenomenon of Multiple Population in one of the most metal-rich Globular Clusters in the Galaxy. This analysis is being carried out with data obtained by FLAMES/GIRAFFE spectrograph, VVV Survey and DR2 of Gaia Mission. We analyzed 20 Red Horizontal Branch Stars, being the first extensive spectroscopic abundance analysis for this cluster and measured 8 chemical elements (O, Na, Mg, Si, Ca, Ti, Cr and Ni), deriving a mean iron content of $[Fe/H] = -0.10pm0.01$ and a mean of $[alpha/Fe] = 0.21pm0.02$, considering Mg, Si, Ca and Ti (errors on the mean). We found a significant spread in the content of Na but a small or negligible in O. We did not find an intrinsic variation in the content of $alpha$ and iron-peak elements, showing a good agreement with the trend of the Bulge field stars, suggesting a similar origin and evolution.

We used high-resolution optical HST/WFC3 and multi-conjugate adaptive optics assisted GEMINI GeMS/GSAOI observations in the near-infrared to investigate the physical properties of the globular cluster NGC 6569 in the Galactic bulge. We have obtained the deepest purely NIR color-magnitude diagram published so far for this cluster using ground-based observations, reaching $K_{s}$ $approx$ 21.0 mag (two magnitudes below the main-sequence turn-off point). By combining the two datasets secured at two different epochs, we determined relative proper motions for a large sample of individual stars in the center of NGC 6569, allowing a robust selection of cluster member stars. Our proper motion analysis solidly demonstrates that, despite its relatively high metal content, NGC 6569 hosts some blue horizontal branch stars. A differential reddening map has been derived in the direction of the system, revealing a maximum color excess variation of about $delta E(B-V)$ $sim$ 0.12 mag in the available field of view. The absolute age of NGC 6569 has been determined for the first time. In agreement with the other few bulge globular clusters with available age estimates, NGC 6569 turns out to be old, with an age of about 12.8 Gyr, and a typical uncertainty of 0.8-1.0 Gyr.
In this article, we present a detailed chemical analysis of seven red giant members of NGC 6553 using high-resolution spectroscopy from VLT FLAMES. We obtained the stellar parameters (Teff, Log(g), vt, [Fe/H]) of these stars from the spectra, and we measured the chemical abundance for 20 elements, including light elements, iron-peak elements, alpha-elements and neutron-capture elements. The metallicities in our sample stars are consistent with a homogeneous distribution. We found a mean of [Fe/H]=-0.14+/-0.07 dex, in agreement with other studies. Using the alpha-elements Mg, Si, Ca and Ti we obtain the mean of [alpha/Fe]=0.11+/-0.05. We found a vertical relation between Na and O, characterized by a significant spread in Na and an almost non-existent spread in O. In fact, Na and Al are the only two light elements with a large intrinsic spread, which demonstrates the presence of Multiple Populations (MPs). An intrinsic spread in Mg is not detected in this study. The alpha, iron-peak and neutron capture elements show good agreement with the trend of the bulge field stars, indicating similar origin and evolution, in concordance with our previous studies for two other bulge GCs (NGC 6440 and NGC 6528).
