We measure the binding energies of weakly bound Feshbach molecules formed between Na and Rb atoms in their lowest hyperfine Zeeman levels. We form molecules at the Feshbach resonance near 347.64 G and dissociate them by magnetic field modulation. We use the binding energies to refine the singlet and triplet potential energy curves, using coupled-channel bound-state calculations. We then use coupled-channel scattering calculations on the resulting potentials to produce a high-precision mapping between magnetic field and scattering length. We also observe 10 additional $s$-wave Feshbach resonances for Na and Rb in different combinations of Zeeman sublevels of the $F = 1$ hyperfine states. Some of the resonances show 2-body inelastic decay due to spin exchange. We compare the resonance properties with coupled-channel scattering calculations that full take account of inelastic properties.

We present the production of dual-species Bose-Einstein condensates of $^{39}mathrm{K}$ and $^{87}mathrm{Rb}$. Preparation of both species in the $left| F=1,m_F=-1 rightrangle$ state enabled us to exploit a total of three Fesh-bach resonances which allows for simultaneous Feshbach tuning of the $^{39}mathrm{K}$ intraspecies and the $^{39}mathrm{K}$-$^{87}mathrm{Rb}$ interspecies scattering length. Thus dual-species Bose-Einstein condensates were produced by sympathetic cooling of $^{39}mathrm{K}$ with $^{87}mathrm{Rb}$. A dark spontaneous force optical trap was used for $^{87}mathrm{Rb}$, to reduce the losses in $^{39}mathrm{K}$ due to light-assisted collisions in the optical trapping phase, which can be of benefit for other dual-species experiments. The tunability of the scattering length was used to perform precision spectroscopy of the interspecies Feshbach resonance located at $117.56(2),mathrm{G}$ and to determine the width of the resonance to $1.21(5),mathrm{G}$ by rethermalization measurements. The transition region from miscible to immiscible dual-species condensates was investigated and the interspecies background scattering length was determined to $28.5,a_mathrm{0}$ using an empirical model. This paves the way for dual-species experiments with $^{39}mathrm{K}$ and $^{87}mathrm{Rb}$ BECs ranging from molecular physics to precision metrology.
We observe interspecies Feshbach resonances due to s-wave bound states in ultracold $^{39}$K-$^{133}$Cs scattering for three different spin mixtures. The resonances are observed as joint atom loss and heating of the K sample. We perform least-squares fits to obtain improved K-Cs interaction potentials that reproduce the observed resonances, and carry out coupled-channel calculations to characterize the scattering and bound-state properties for $^{39}$K-Cs, $^{40}$K-Cs and $^{41}$K-Cs. Our results open up the possibilities of tuning interactions in K-Cs atomic mixtures and of producing ultracold KCs molecules.

We have studied magnetic Feshbach resonances in an ultracold sample of Na prepared in the absolute hyperfine ground state. We report on the observation of three s-, eight d-, and three g-wave Feshbach resonances, including a more precise determination of two known s-wave resonances, and one s-wave resonance at a magnetic field exceeding 200mT. Using a coupled-channels calculation we have improved the sodium ground-state potentials by taking into account these new experimental data, and derived values for the scattering lengths. In addition, a description of the molecular states leading to the Feshbach resonances in terms of the asymptotic-bound-state model is presented.

The beyond-mean-field Lee-Huang-Yang (LHY) correction is ubiquitous in dilute ultracold quantum gases. However, its effects are often elusive due to the typically much larger influence of the mean-field energy. In this work, we study an ultracold mixture of $^{23}$Na and $^{87}$Rb with tunable attractive interspecies interactions. The LHY effects manifest in the formation of self-bound quantum liquid droplets and the expansion dynamics of the gas-phase sample. A liquid-to-gas phase diagram is obtained by measuring the critical atom numbers below which the self-bound behavior disappears. In stark contrast to trapped gas-phase condensates, the gas-phase mixture formed following the liquid-to-gas phase transition shows an anomalous expansion featuring a larger release energy for increasing mean-field attractions.
We report on the observation of weakly-bound dimers of bosonic Dysprosium with a strong universal s-wave halo character, associated with broad magnetic Feshbach resonances. These states surprisingly decouple from the chaotic backgound of narrow resonances, persisting across many such narrow resonances. In addition they show the highest reported magnetic moment $musimeq20,mu_{rm B}$ of any ultracold molecule. We analyze our findings using a coupled-channel theory taking into account the short range van der Waals interaction and a correction due to the strong dipole moment of Dysprosium. We are able to extract the scattering length as a function of magnetic field associated with these resonances and obtain a background scattering length $a_{rm bg}=91(16),a_0$. These results offer prospects of a tunability of the interactions in Dysprosium, which we illustrate by observing the saturation of three-body losses.
