In this brief review, we present some cosmological models with a Hybrid Scale Factor (HSF) in the framework of general relativity (GR). The hybrid scale factor fosters an early deceleration as well as a late time acceleration and mimics the present Universe. The dynamical aspects of different cosmological models with HSF in the presence of different matter fields have been discussed.

In this paper, we have investigated the anisotropic behavior of the accelerating universe in Bianchi V space time in the frame work of General Relativity (GR). The matter field we have considered is of two non interacting fluids i.e. the usual string fluid and dark energy (DE) fluid. In order to represent the pressure anisotropy, the skewness parameters are introduced along three different spatial directions. To achieve a physically realistic solutions to the field equations, we have considered a scale factor, known as hybrid scale factor, which is generated by a time varying deceleration parameter. This simulates a cosmic transition from early deceleration to late time acceleration. It is observed that the string fluid dominates the universe at early deceleration phase but does not affect nature of cosmic dynamics substantially at late phase where as, the DE fluid dominates the universe in present time, which is in accordance with the observations results. Hence, we analysed here the role of two fluids in the transitional phases of universe with respect to time which depicts the reason behind the cosmic expansion and DE. The role of DE with variable equation of state parameter (EoS), skewness parameters also discussed along with physical and geometrical properties.
The matter creation model of Prigogine--Geheniau--Gunzig--Nardone is revisited in terms of a redefined creation pressure which does not lead to irreversible adiabatic evolution at constant specific entropy. With the resulting freedom to choose a particular gas process, a flat FRWL cosmological model is proposed based on three input characteristics: (i) a perfect fluid comprising of an ideal gas, (ii) a quasi-adiabatic polytropic process, and (iii) a particular rate of particle creation. Such model leads to the description of the late-time acceleration of the expanding Universe with a natural transition from decelerating to accelerating regime. Only the Friedmann equations and the laws of thermodynamics are used and no assumptions of dark energy component is made. The model also allows the explicit determination as functions of time of all variables, including the entropy, the non-conserved specific entropy and the time the accelerating phase begins. A form of correspondence with the dark energy models (quintessence, in particular) is established via the $Om$ diagnostics. Parallels with the concordance cosmological $Lambda$CDM model for the matter-dominated epoch and the present epoch of accelerated expansion are also established via slight modifications of both models.
In this paper we study the corrections to the Friedmann equations due to fast fluctuations of the universe scale factor. Such fast quantum fluctuations were recently proposed as a potential solution of the cosmological constant problem. They also induce strong changes to the current sign and magnitude of the average cosmological force, thus making it one of the potential probable causes for the modification of Newtonian dynamics in galaxy-scale systems. It appears that quantum fluctuations of the scale factor also modify the Friedmann equations, leading to considerable modification of cosmological evolution. In particular, they give rise to late-time accelerated expansion of the universe, and they may also considerably modify the effective universe potential.
The stability criteria for spatially flat homogeneous and isotropic cosmological dynamical system is investigated with the interaction of a scalar field endowed with a perfect fluid. In this paper, we depict the dynamical system perspective to study, qualitatively, the scalar field cosmology under two special cases, with and without potential. For analysis with potential we use simple exponential potential form, $V_{o}e^{-lambda phi}$. We generate, by introducing new dimensionless variables, an autonomous system of ordinary differential equations $(ASODE)$ for each case and obtain respective fixed points. We also analyse the type of fixed points, nature and stability of the fixed points and how their nature and behavior reflect towards the cosmic scenarios. Throughout the whole work, the investigation of this model has shown us the deep connection between these theories and cosmic acceleration phenomena. The phase plots of the system at different conditions and different values of $gamma$ have been analyzed in detail and their interpretations have been worked out.The perturbation plots of the dynamical system have also been studied and analyzed which emphasize our analytical findings.
It was found recently that the anisotropies in the homogeneous Bianchi I cosmology considered within the context of a specific Horndeski theory are damped near the initial singularity instead of being amplified. In this work we extend the analysis of this phenomenon to cover the whole of the Horndeski family. We find that the phenomenon is absent in the K-essence and/or Kinetic Gravity Braiding theories, where the anisotropies grow as one approaches the singularity. The anisotropies are damped at early times only in more general Horndeski models whose Lagrangian includes terms quadratic and cubic in second derivatives of the scalar field. Such theories are often considered as being inconsistent with the observations because they predict a non-constant speed of gravitational waves. However, the predicted value of the speed at present can be close to the speed of light with any required precision, hence the theories actually agree with the present time observations. We consider two different examples of such theories, both characterized by a late self-acceleration and an early inflation driven by the non-minimal coupling. Their anisotropies show a maximum at intermediate times and approach zero at early and late times. The early inflationary stage exhibits an instability with respect to inhomogeneous perturbations, suggesting that the initial state of the universe should be inhomogeneous. However, more general Horndeski models may probably be stable.
