We argue that neutrino oscillations at JUNO offer a unique opportunity to study Sorkins triple-path interference, which is predicted to be zero in canonical quantum mechanics by virtue of the Born rule. In particular, we compute the expected bounds on triple-path interference at JUNO and demonstrate that they are comparable to those already available from electromagnetic probes. Furthermore, the neutrino probe of the Born rule is much more direct due to an intrinsic independence from any boundary conditions, whereas such dependence on boundary conditions is always present in the case of electromagnetic probes. Thus, neutrino oscillations present an ideal probe of this aspect of the foundations of quantum mechanics.

We propose an idea of the constrained Feynman amplitude for the scattering of the charged lepton and the virtual W-boson, $l_{beta} + W_{rho} rightarrow l_{alpha} + W_{lambda}$, from which the conventional Pontecorvo oscillation formula of relativistic neutrinos is readily obtained using plane waves for all the particles involved. In a path integral picture, the neutrino propagates forward in time between the production and detection vertices, which are constrained respectively on the 3-dimensional spacelike hypersurfaces separated by a macroscopic positive time $tau$. The covariant Feynman amplitude is formally recovered if one sums over all possible values of $tau$ (including negative $tau$).
We study visible neutrino decay at the reactor neutrino experiments KamLAND and, JUNO. Assuming the Majoron model of neutrino decay, we obtain constraints on the couplings between Majoron and neutrino as well as on the lifetime/mass of the most massive neutrino state i.e., $tau_{3} / m_{3}$ or $tau_{2} / m_{2}$, respectively, for the normal or the inverted mass orderings. We obtain the constraints on the lifetime $tau_{2} / m_{2} geq 1.4 times 10^{-9}~rm{s/eV}$ in the inverted mass ordering for both KamLAND and JUNO at 90% CL. In the normal ordering in which the bound can be obtained for JUNO only, the constraint is milder than the inverted ordering case, $tau_{3} / m_{3} geq 1.0 times 10^{-10}~rm{s/eV}$ at 90% CL. We find that the dependence of lightest neutrino mass ($=m_{rm{lightest}}$), $m_1 (m_3)$ for the normal (inverted) mass ordering, on the constraints for the different types of couplings (scalar or pseudo-scalar) is rather strong, but the $m_{rm{lightest}}$ dependence on the lifetime/mass bound is only modest.

Geometric (Aharonov--Anandan) phases in neutrino oscillations have been claimed [Phys. Lett. B 780 (2018) 216] to be sensitive to the Majorana phases in neutrino mixing. More recently, however, it has been pointed out [Phys. Lett. B 818 (2021) 136376] that the proposed phases are not gauge invariant. Using both kinematic and geometric approaches, we show that all gauge-invariant Aharonov--Anandan phases (including the off-diagonal geometric phases associated with flavor transitions) are independent of the Majorana phases. This finding, which generalizes the well-known fact that conventional oscillation experiments cannot discern the Dirac or Majorana nature of the neutrino, implies that a hypothetical interference experiment cannot distinguish between the two either.
We investigate and quantify various measures of bipartite and tripartite entanglement in the context of two and three flavor neutrino oscillations. The bipartite entanglement is analogous to the entanglement swapping resulting from a beam splitter in quantum optics. For the three neutrino systems various measures of tripartite entanglement are explored. The significant result is that a monogamy inequality in terms of negativity leads to a residual entanglement, implying true tripartite entanglement in the three neutrino system. This leads us to an analogy of the three neutrino state with a generalized class of W-state in quantum optics.

We present a mathematical framework based on quantum interval-valued probability measures to study the effect of experimental imperfections and finite precision measurements on defining aspects of quantum mechanics such as contextuality and the Born rule. While foundational results such as the Kochen-Specker and Gleason theorems are valid in the context of infinite precision, they fail to hold in general in a world with limited resources. Here we employ an interval-valued framework to establish bounds on the validity of those theorems in realistic experimental environments. In this way, not only can we quantify the idea of finite-precision measurement within our theory, but we can also suggest a possible resolution of the Meyer-Mermin debate on the impact of finite-precision measurement on the Kochen-Specker theorem.
