How to combine uncertain information from different sources has been a hot topic for years. However, with respect to ordinal quantum evidences contained in information, there is no any referable work which is able to provide a solution to this kind of problem. Besides, the method to dispel uncertainty of quantum information is still an open issue. Therefore, in this paper, a specially designed method is designed to provide an excellent method which improves the combination of ordinal quantum evidences reasonably and reduce the effects brought by uncertainty contained in quantum information simultaneously. Besides, some actual applications are provided to verify the correctness and validity of the proposed method.

How to measure the degree of uncertainty of a given frame of discernment has been a hot topic for years. A lot of meaningful works have provided some effective methods to measure the degree properly. However, a crucial factor, sequence of propositions, is missing in the definition of traditional frame of discernment. In this paper, a detailed definition of ordinal frame of discernment has been provided. Besides, an innovative method utilizing a concept of computer vision to combine the order of propositions and the mass of them is proposed to better manifest relationships between the two important element of the frame of discernment. More than that, a specially designed method covering some powerful tools in indicating the degree of uncertainty of a traditional frame of discernment is also offered to give an indicator of level of uncertainty of an ordinal frame of discernment on the level of vector.
We propose a simple method for combining together voting rules that performs a run-off between the different winners of each voting rule. We prove that this combinator has several good properties. For instance, even if just one of the base voting rules has a desirable property like Condorcet consistency, the combination inherits this property. In addition, we prove that combining voting rules together in this way can make finding a manipulation more computationally difficult. Finally, we study the impact of this combinator on approximation methods that find close to optimal manipulations.
The theory of belief functions manages uncertainty and also proposes a set of combination rules to aggregate opinions of several sources. Some combination rules mix evidential information where sources are independent; other rules are suited to combine evidential information held by dependent sources. In this paper we have two main contributions: First we suggest a method to quantify sources degree of independence that may guide the choice of the more appropriate set of combination rules. Second, we propose a new combination rule that takes consideration of sources degree of independence. The proposed method is illustrated on generated mass functions.
We propose a new family of constraints which combine together lexicographical ordering constraints for symmetry breaking with other common global constraints. We give a general purpose propagator for this family of constraints, and show how to improve its complexity by exploiting properties of the included global constraints.
We propose a novel soft-aided iterative decoding algorithm for product codes (PCs). The proposed algorithm, named iterative bounded distance decoding with combined reliability (iBDD-CR), enhances the conventional iterative bounded distance decoding (iBDD) of PCs by exploiting some level of soft information. In particular, iBDD-CR can be seen as a modification of iBDD where the hard decisions of the row and column decoders are made based on a reliability estimate of the BDD outputs. The reliability estimates are derived using extrinsic message passing for generalized low-density-parity check (GLDPC) ensembles, which encompass PCs. We perform a density evolution analysis of iBDD-CR for transmission over the additive white Gaussian noise channel for the GLDPC ensemble. We consider both binary transmission and bit-interleaved coded modulation with quadrature amplitude modulation. We show that iBDD-CR achieves performance gains up to $0.51$ dB compared to iBDD with the same internal decoder data flow. This makes the algorithm an attractive solution for very high-throughput applications such as fiber-optic communications.
