We construct special cycles on the moduli stack of unitary shtukas. We prove an identity between (1) the r-th central derivative of non-singular Fourier coefficients of a normalized Siegel--Eisenstein series, and (2) the degree of special cycles of virtual dimension 0 on the moduli stack of unitary shtukas with r legs. This may be viewed as a function-field analogue of the Kudla-Rapoport Conjecture, that has the additional feature of encompassing all higher derivatives of the Eisenstein series.

A p-divisible group, or more generally an F-crystal, is said to be Hodge-Newton reducible if its Hodge polygon passes through a break point of its Newton polygon. Katz proved that Hodge-Newton reducible F-crystals admit a canonical filtration called the Hodge-Newton filtration. The notion of Hodge-Newton reducibility plays an important role in the deformation theory of p-divisible groups; the key property is that the Hodge-Newton filtration of a p-divisible group over a field of characteristic p can be uniquely lifted to a filtration of its deformation. We generalize Katzs result to F-crystals that arise from an unramified local Shimura datum of Hodge type. As an application, we give a generalization of Serre-Tate deformation theory for local Shimura data of Hodge type. We also apply our deformation theory to study some congruence relations on Shimura varieties of Hodge type.
Let $k$ be a number field. We give an explicit bound, depending only on $[k:mathbf{Q}]$ and the discriminant of the N{e}ron--Severi lattice, on the size of the Brauer group of a K3 surface $X/k$ that is geometrically isomorphic to the Kummer surface attached to a product of isogenous CM elliptic curves. As an application, we show that the Brauer--Manin set for such a variety is effectively computable. Conditional on the Generalised Riemann Hypothesis, we also give an explicit bound, depending only on $[k:mathbf{Q}]$, on the size of the Brauer group of a K3 surface $X/k$ that is geometrically isomorphic to the Kummer surface attached to a product of CM elliptic curves. In addition, we show how to obtain a bound, depending only on $[k:mathbf{Q}]$, on the number of $mathbf{C}$-isomorphism classes of singular K3 surfaces defined over $k$, thus proving an effective version of the strong Shafarevich conjecture for singular K3 surfaces.

We study the Picard-Lefschetz formula for the Siegel modular threefold of paramodular level and prove the weight-monodromy conjecture for its middle degree inner cohomology with arbitrary automorphic coefficients. We give some applications to the Langlands programme: Using Rapoport-Zink uniformisation of the supersingular locus of the special fiber, we construct a geometric Jacquet-Langlands correspondence between $operatorname{GSp}_4$ and a definite inner form, proving a conjecture of Ibukiyama. We also prove an integral version of the weight-monodromy conjecture and use it to deduce a level lowering result for cohomological cuspidal automorphic representations of $operatorname{GSp}_4$.

Let $D$ be a $p$-divisible group over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$. Let $n_D$ be the smallest non-negative integer such that $D$ is determined by $D[p^{n_D}]$ within the class of $p$-divisible groups over $k$ of the same codimension $c$ and dimension $d$ as $D$. We study $n_D$, lifts of $D[p^m]$ to truncated Barsotti--Tate groups of level $m+1$ over $k$, and the numbers $gamma_D(i):=dim(pmb{Aut}(D[p^i]))$. We show that $n_Dle cd$, $(gamma_D(i+1)-gamma_D(i))_{iinBbb N}$ is a decreasing sequence in $Bbb N$, for $cd>0$ we have $gamma_D(1)<gamma_D(2)<...<gamma_D(n_D)$, and for $min{1,...,n_D-1}$ there exists an infinite set of truncated Barsotti--Tate groups of level $m+1$ which are pairwise non-isomorphic and lift $D[p^m]$. Different generalizations to $p$-divisible groups with a smooth integral group scheme in the crystalline context are also proved.
Let $X$ be a curve of genus $ggeq 2$ over a number field $F$ of degree $d = [F:Q]$. The conjectural existence of a uniform bound $N(g,d)$ on the number $#X(F)$ of $F$-rational points of $X$ is an outstanding open problem in arithmetic geometry, known by [CHM97] to follow from the Bombieri--Lang conjecture. A related conjecture posits the existence of a uniform bound $N_{{rm tors},dagger}(g,d)$ on the number of geometric torsion points of the Jacobian $J$ of $X$ which lie on the image of $X$ under an Abel--Jacobi map. For fixed $X$ this quantity was conjectured to be finite by Manin--Mumford, and was proved to be so by Raynaud [Ray83]. We give an explicit uniform bound on $#X(F)$ when $X$ has Mordell--Weil rank $rleq g-3$. This generalizes recent work of Stoll on uniform bounds on hyperelliptic curves of small rank to arbitrary curves. Using the same techniques, we give an explicit, unconditional uniform bound on the number of $F$-rational torsion points of $J$ lying on the image of $X$ under an Abel--Jacobi map. We also give an explicit uniform bound on the number of geometric torsion points of $J$ lying on $X$ when the reduction type of $X$ is highly degenerate. Our methods combine Chabauty--Colemans $p$-adic integration, non-Archimedean potential theory on Berkovich curves, and the theory of linear systems and divisors on metric graphs.
