Radioisotope $^{52g}$Mn is of special interest for multimodal imaging. Using state-of-art nuclear reaction codes, we study the alternative nuclear reaction route $^{nat}$V($alpha$,x)$^{52g}$Mn in comparison with the standard production routes based upon the use of chromium targets. The integral yields of $^{52g}$Mn and contaminants have been evaluated. The main outcome of this investigation is that the production of the main contaminant isotope $^{54}$Mn is expected to be lower than with $^{nat}$Cr. The study also reveals a large spread in the cross-section data set and points out the need of more precise measurements of the reaction $^{nat}$V($alpha$,x)$^{52g}$Mn as well as the need of a more accurate theoretical description.

Ion-ion collisions at relativistic energies have been shown recently to be a promising technique for the production of hypernuclei. In this article, we further investigate the production of light $Lambda$ hypernuclei by use of a hybrid dynamical model, cascade-coalescence followed by Fermi breakup. The predictions are then compared with the available experimental data. The dependence of the production cross section upon the beam energy, beam mass number as well as different projectile-target combinations is investigated. In particular, we evaluate the yields and signal-over-background ratio in the invariant-mass spectrum for carbon projectiles impinging on hydrogen and carbon targets and various coincidence conditions in the experiment using the theoretical calculation as an input. It is found that comparing with carbon target, hydrogen target also leads to sizable hypernuclear yields, even for exotic species, and the hydrogen target could improve significantly signal-over-background ratio in some hypernuclear invariant mass studies.
Inclusive $alpha$-production cross-section has been measured for $^6$Li+$^{51}$V system near coulomb barrier. Theoretical calculations for contributing reaction channels were performed using finite range coupled reaction method from FRESCO code to understand the reaction mechanisms. Cross-section from breakup($alpha$+d) and 1-n, 1-p, 1-d and sequential (n+p or p+n) transfer and statistical decay channel leading to $alpha$-production were estimated to get the cumulative production cross-section. It is observed that these channels could reproduce the integral $alpha$-production and their angular distributions quite well. The sequential transfer shows a dominant contribution compared to direct transfer channels.

The production of $alpha$-particles in reactions using both the strongly and weakly bound projectiles at energies around the Coulomb barrier show several interesting features. To understand these, the role of various reaction mechanisms responsible for $alpha$-production, such as non-capture breakup, capture of only one of the fragments subsequent to projectile breakup and their contribution to reaction cross sections have been investigated. A systematic study of the $alpha$-particle production based on available data for various projectile target systems have been performed and a classification based on projectile type is obtained.
Double Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DDVCS) is the only experimental channel for the determination of the dependence of the Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) on both the average and the transferred momentum independently. The physics observables of the electron induced di-muon production reaction $vv{e}^{pm}p to e^{pm}pmu^+mu^-$ off unpolarized hydrogen are discussed. Their measurement with the high luminosity and large acceptance SoLID spectrometer at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, using polarized and unpolarized positron and electron beams at 11 GeV is investigated. This experimental configuration is shown to provide unprecedented access to the GPDs with the determination of the real and imaginary parts of the Compton Form Factor ${mathcal H}$ in an unexplored phase space, and to enable an exploratory investigation of higher twist effects.
The 119-126Sn nuclei have been produced as fission fragments in two reactions induced by heavy ions: 12C+238U at 90 MeV bombarding energy, 18O+208Pb at 85 MeV. Their level schemes have been built from gamma rays detected using the Euroball array. High-spin states located above the long-lived isomeric states of the even- and odd-A 120-126Sn nuclei have been identified. Moreover isomeric states lying around 4.5 MeV have been established in 120,122,124,126Sn from the delayed coincidences between the fission fragment detector SAPhIR and the Euroball array. The states located above 3-MeV excitation energy are ascribed to several broken pairs of neutrons occupying the nu h11/2 orbit. The maximum value of angular momentum available in such a high-j shell, i.e. for mid-occupation and the breaking of the three neutron pairs, has been identified. This process is observed for the first time in spherical nuclei.
